Welcome to March.

Well, it been an exciting month this month. We have had a new software program introduced, we have had a staff member leave, and employed another one.

Xap

As with anything new there are always teething problems. Hopefully, most of them are sorted. The accounts should all be correct now. They are all 1 week in front. When you look at your statement on your app, check the date you are looking at. The statements are only available on the app. The invoices are automatically sent out every Monday. If any payments are made during the week, you will not see this on your statement until the statements are updated. E.g., If you make a payment on Monday after the statement has already been issued this will not be visible till the following week. However, if you access your "family "tab you should be able to see any payment you have made here. As they are processed instantly. If you require a DD payment to be changed, I am still able to do within 24 hours of processing. The default DD processing day is Thursday. If this does not suit you, please let me know, as Friday can also be an option. Through the app there is also the option for you to make the payment. Some parents are doing this themselves. You just click on the + button on the top of the page and click the 'one off payment' and follow the prompts. The Invoices and Direct debits are now uploaded automatically. So, you will need to keep an eye out for your invoices on Monday as this will be the Direct Debit payment. You are also able to mark your child absent from your app.  This is a great tool.

Educators have been uploading pictures through the app and monitoring eating and sleep time pattern also.

Easter Break Closures

We will be closed on Good Friday 15th April 2022 and Easter Monday 18th April 2022. I will be away the Tuesday 19th April 2022.  Anzac Day 25th April 2022 we will be closed as well. During this time If you have any concerns regarding your account or anything else, I am available through email.

Centre Philosophy

We are in the process of updating the centre philosophy. We encourage family involvement in this process. If you have any ideas or things you would like to contribute, please let us know.

We are developing a Reconciliation Wall in the foyer. This will be a continuing journey; you are welcome to contribute to this project. Any input would be appreciated.

Until next month

Kind Regards   Tracey

Toddler Room

Jingeri (G'day) to all our families of the Toddler room,

What an action-packed start of the year we've had! We hope you've enjoyed all the pictures and updates of what we have been getting up to.

We will be incorporating cultural/inclusion activities into our learning this week and next week with National Close the Gap Day on 17th March – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and Harmony Day 21st March – celebrating Australia's cultural diversity.

We are transitioning to primarily using the new app as our communication platform. If you are having any trouble accessing the app or using it, please let us know. You are still welcome to message us direct as well.

In the Toddler room we have set a daily routine which encourages self-help skills, personal hygiene, language development, physical development and social skills. We are closely focusing on social /emotional skills and building on our vocabularies, using both verbal and non-verbal communication (sign language).

You may have also noticed your toddlers tapping their knees or saying, "Bee bee" (we have had comments from parents about this). This has come from our name song that we sing daily during group time "Bee Bee Bumble Bee". The toddlers are really responding to this and we feel it is fast becoming one of their favourite activities of the day.

As always, if you would like to contribute to our program with any feedback on your child's interests, traditions, family outings, or any learning you feel is required please let us know, we always welcome family input.

We thank you again for your loyalty and cooperation,

Miss Carina and Miss Sophie

March 2022 from the Nursery!

The babies are becoming confident using their vocal skills. Building on their social development is fundamental in acquiring and encouraging their language. Books have been popular this month so we will be using the pictures to enhance our learning as well as using action songs. We are also exploring our senses using sand, water, leaves and grass, and finding out what we like and don't like touching. The nursery program always includes a strong focus on social and emotional wellbeing and endure to give the babies a deep sense of being and belonging. Social interactions are happening every day in the nursery, and it is one of the most important aspects of any child's development.

Please ensure to pack a change of clothing for any water play, and a hat for protection from those sunny days. We would also love your assistance with applying sunscreen to your child before arriving at kindy, and any insect repellent that they may require. We will reapply sunscreen in the afternoon, and any insect repellent if requested. If you have any concerns or questions about anything, then please let me know.

Miss Nikki

Hello from the 3-5 room

During the last week we have said goodbye to Miss Luna who has moved interstate. Mr Rob has stepped back into the room and is looking forward to working with the children and families as we prepare them for Pre-School.

Over the coming weeks we will be working on self-help skills, pencil grip, prewriting first names, number recognition and Easter activities. Please remember to label all personal belongings, drinks bottles, lunch boxes.  We welcome any parent input/ feedback for the weekly program. Please either speak to myself or leave a comment in the communication book which can be found on the lockers.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter

until next time

Mr Rob
