Hi guys. This is the last newsletter for the year. It only seems like last month I was writing the last newsletter for 2017. We are closing on the Friday 21st December and opening again on 2nd January 2019. All accounts must be finalised by close of day Friday 21st December, to ensure a place next year.
We will be operating on limited staff, so can you please let me know if you are taking holidays outside the time frame that we are closed. This enables me to meet staff ratios. No fees will be charged during the time the centre is closed.
Our Christmas concert is on Thursday 13th December 2018. Santa will arrive at 10:00am. If your child is not usually in Thursday, then you are welcome to bring them in. Every child will receive a gift from Santa. The cost of the Christmas party is $6:00 per child & $5:00 per baby. This includes the gift from Santa, photos of your child with Santa and the graduation photo for the prep students. Please pay cash either on the day or beforehand. Please put the money in the fees box. The concert for the babies will start approx. 3:30 pm. The senior room's concert will start approx. 3:45 in the sen kindy room. We are asking parents to bring a paper plate with party food for all to share. Everyone is welcome at the concert.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families for all the support you have shown us throughout the year, very little would be achieved without your constant input and communication with my staff and myself. Being able to engage with your children every day is a real blessing for me. I have always loved working with children; there isn't anything else I would rather be doing. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Best wishes always
Hello from Snr Kindy & Prep.
Happy birthday to Jesse and Lakelyn who will be having their birthdays this month. The past few weeks we have been doing group experiences and circle games. This is aimed at developing the children self- esteem, confidence and team building skills. We have continued to focus on our writing and cutting manipulation skills. Children have been writing both letters and numbers, along with recognition skills.
Some quick reminders, as we are coming to the end of the year and some children don't sleep; we still require sheets to be sent so as your child can have a quiet period on their beds. After a story is read and a short period for them to read their books, activities are provided at the table and also quiet activities on their beds.
Merry Christmas, from Mr Rob.
Miss Donna and Miss Tracey would like to wish all our prep children every success in their upcoming journey through school. This is a sad time for us, as we have had most of these children at our kindy since they were babies. It's often hard to say goodbye. Please come back and visit us. We would love to see you and see how you are going at 'big school'. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year
All the best Miss Donna & Miss Tracey.
The Toddlers and babies have been very busy during October and November. We welcomed Tamihana, Reihana and Dominic into the nursery, along with Melody and Elsie joining the toddlers, we hope you are enjoying your time with us🤗. We have been exploring sensory activities, and expanding on our fine motor skills, and becoming more confident using a paint brush 🖌.Language skills are being practiced daily with the toddlers, and attempts are being made to follow simple instructions like picking up hats, or putting their bed sheets away after rest time! Great job everyone👏!We have all been practicing hard for our Christmas concert, and we hope you will be able to join us, and help us with our singing and action songs 🎅🏻.Please ensure to pack a hat for these warm days, along with a drink bottle for our thirsty babies and toddlers! If you have any concerns about anything, then please let us know 😊
See you soon!!!.....
