Welcome to the June edition of our monthly Newsletter and

 welcome to our new families! We hope that you are settling

 into centre life, if there is anything we can do take make your

 stay with us more enjoyable, please let us know!

Miss Nicole's Buttermilk Scones ...

Method

  •   Preheat oven to 220°C. Grease and flour a 8cm-deep, 19cm (base) square cake pan.
  • Place flour, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Add butter. Using fingertips, rub butter into flour mixture.
  • Add buttermilk. stir until dough almost comes together. Place on a lightly floured surface.
  •   Knead gently until dough comes together. Press out to a 3cm-thick round. Dip a 5cm round cutter into flour to prevent dough sticking. Cut out scones. 
  • Place scones, touching, in prepared pan. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until light golden and hollow when tapped on top. Serve with jam and cream. Enjoy!

  • 3 1/2 cups self-raising
  •  flour
  • 2 tablespoons caster
  •  sugar
  • 60g butter, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • jam and whipped 
  • cream, to serve


Going on a summer holiday

.......In Winter! 

Miss Lyn is going to be away from the centre for 4.5 weeks! On her travels she will be visiting Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, England and Wales! We hope that she enjoys her well deserved break but misses us so much that she can't wait to come back.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia
each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC
is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a
great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
