September 28 is National Police Remembrance Day, the most significant day on the police calendar. It is an important date to pause, to honour, remember and thank those police officers whose lives have been lost while performing their duties. No greater sacrifice can be asked for – or can be made – than that of the fine men and women who we acknowledge today on National Police Remembrance Day.

Every year we have the same wish– that no further names are added to the Police Remembrance Day list.

Thank you for all that you do to keep us safe
