Nursery

Hi to all our Nursery Families

The countdown to Christmas has begun. This month we have been very busy creating Christmas decorations for the room. The children have had loads of fun in both the indoor and outdoor environment allowing them to explore and learn through play.

Reading books is a comfortable and relaxing experience with the babies. The babies have enjoyed listening to stories from educators and attempting to read books themselves as they make noises and turn the pages. Our new babies in the room have been exploring their surroundings and are becoming familiar with peers and educators.

We hope that you and your child have enjoyed the year with us and if you have any feedback please feel free to share that with us.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Miss Praxa, Miss Arley & Miss Chloe

Toddlers

Hi to all our families!

Year 2019 has gone so fast and we would like to thank all our parents for entrusting your children to our care! We in the Toddlers Room are so happy to be part of your child's memorable fun, play and learning experiences all throughout the year.

It is officially Summer! This month we have been exploring some water fun activities like: water squirting, water colouring, painting with frozen ice cubes, outdoor sponge painting, fishing and scooping and pouring water using different containers. They all had fun exploring the water as they enjoy splashing and pouring. The fishing activity is the most challenging for our toddlers as they got challenged to catch the fish hooked into the magnet of their rod without touching it. Also, to help us cool down at the end of our busy day, we have been enjoying our frozen blocks.

The Holiday season is on its way and we are all in celebration mode. Our Toddlers have created some ornaments to decorate the room's Christmas tree and have made a handprint wreath. In our group time we encourage our toddlers to join in singing some Christmas carols while playing their musical instruments.

Our fun and learning experiences will never stop here in Toddlers Room. Every day is always a new opportunity for our Toddlers to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Thank you for the wonderful time!!!

As always, we the Toddlers staff are open to communication with you. Please feel free to speak to any of us. Have a wonderful Christmas!!

Tweenies

Hi to all our Tweenies families, and welcome to our last newsletter for the year.

What a busy month we have had, the children have enjoyed lots of sensory play and working on their Christmas art and crafts.

We also introduced more fine motor skill activities where we were able to let the children use the child friendly scissors to cut up paper. This activity was also good for hand / eye coordination.

As the weather has been hot outside we brought outside play inside and used the balancing beam and see saws. This helped with gross motor skills and the art of taking turns.

Number, colour and letter recognition has also been a focus and the children have enjoyed learning their alphabet and what sound each letter makes.

We have enjoyed having all our little people in the room this year and will continue to watch them grow next year.  On a final note we say goodbye to some of our children who are leaving the centre and we wish all our children are very safe and Happy Christmas.

Thank you Tweenies for making this year fun!!!

Miss Cassandra, Miss Cariad and Miss Margaret

Pre Kindy

Welcome to another month in the Pre Kindy room.

We have come to the last month of the year and we must admit we have had such a great time in the pre kindy room with all our friends. This month we have been continuing with revising our letters and numbers each week along with our Christmas crafts.

We would also like to take this time to thank each and everyone of you for your patience and support throughout this year, it's made our job easier knowing we have that support from the families. Also like to say a warm farewell to our lovely families who we will no longer be seeing next year, we will miss you all and we hope to see you all again.

As we prepare for the festive celebrations, we hope that you have a great Christmas and New year with your families and friends. Please be safe and we shall see you all in the New Year x

Kindergarten 2

Hi Families and welcome to our final news of 2019.

This year has flown so fast and the children have grown into capable young individuals. As we pay tribute to the young leaders of the future, we know as teachers that they have started their remarkable journey towards achieving this goal. This year they have learned so much, they have remained eager and have flourished in so many ways.

Although we are sad to see them go, we are proud of the progress they have made this year. Now we give you back your children. We give them back inches taller, months wiser, more responsible and more mature than they were then. Although they would have attained this growth in spite of us, it has been our pleasure and privilege to watch their personalities unfold day by day.

Looking ahead the children are well equipped to take on the next chapter in their lives. They have strong foundations and we feel very confident we have given the children a great start in life. Congratulations to our children who Graduated last Thursday night and we wish you all the very best for the future in school. We will miss you all.

Lastly we like to wish all our families a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!!!

Miss Renae, Miss Casey and Miss Karen

Kindergarten 3

Welcome to the last newsletter for 2019. During the first two weeks of this month we continued our learning about farm animals. Children learned about chicken life cycle and the product produced from the chicken e.g. eggs and meat.

The Children have been busy preparing for Christmas celebrations and have continued to develop several skills during experiences. Skills practised during these activities include fine motor, Creativity, co-operation and communication skills. During the activities it was pleasing to see the Children collaborating on tasks and sharing their ideas with peers and educators.

Congratulations to the children who graduated on Thursday and are going to school next year in 2020. As allot of children are leaving to go to school the Kindergarten curriculum will cease to run. However programmed activities relating to literacy, numeracy, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive and language development will still be programmed each week.

Miss Manpreet is currently on annual leave and will return after term one next year. Miss Naomi and Miss Florence will remain in the room providing continuity of care.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

Miss Manpreet,Miss Naomi and Miss Florence.
