From the Office

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I hope you have all had a great end to 2019 and I look forward to a fantastic 2020 with you all.

As you may know, I have just returned from Maternity Leave and am settling back into the busy role as Centre Manager. Renae has done a fantastic job filling in for me while I've been off spending time with my little ones. There are a lot of families who have started at the Centre in the last year that I am yet to meet but I would love to introduce myself. Please feel free to approach me at the front desk or contact me via phone or email if you have any questions or feedback, or you can see me in person in the office between 8:00am - 4:30pm, thank you.

Until next month...

Evonne Vete - Centre Manager

Room Changes are happening as of next week 27th January 2020. You should have received an email if your child is moving rooms, but if you are unsure, you can find the room lists and pictures of the room Educators/Teachers in the front office for you to view.

Reminder that the Centre will be closed for Australia Day Public Holiday on Monday 27th of January. We will be Celebrating Australia Day at the Centre on Friday 24th January.

A Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Thursday the 30th January 2020 at 5.00pm. During this information night we will provide you with an outline of the expectations of the Kindergarten Curriculum and assist with any questions you may have in relation to your child's learning and development needs.

Nursery

HELLO to all our new and existing families in the Nursery room! It is with great pleasure to introduce myself as I will be working with Ms. Arley and Ms. Laura in the room this year. I am Ms. Arleen and I am happy to be back in the Babies' Room. Prior to being the Senior Lead Educator in the Toddlers' Room last year, I was the Senior Lead Educator in the Nursery Room last 2017 and 2018. Most of our older babies have now moved up in the Toddlers Room and we wish them a happy stay with their new Educators and new room.

Our Nursery program is designed to reflect the home environment to allow the babies to feel safe and secure while they are growing and exploring. Our main goal is to help the babies feel relaxed and settled while in our care by following and fulfilling each child's individual needs and preferences.

We are together with you in this journey and we would like to say thank you for entrusting your children to us. As your child progresses through the nursery room we will support their growth in major areas such as walking, language and other developmental milestones.

We would love to have a chat with you every morning drop off and afternoon pickup! Please feel free to come and see any of our Nursery staff for questions or concerns regarding your child.

As always, may we please ask that every item that belong to your child be properly labelled with their names as we don't want their belongings get mixed up with the others.

Thank you and till next time!

Your Nursery Educators:

Ms. Arleen, Ms. Arley and Ms. Laura

Toddlers

Hello and welcome to the Toddler room for 2020. For those who don't know me, I am Miss Cariad and I am the Senior Lead Educator for the room. I am excited to be back in the Toddler room for this year, I will be working closely with the other Educators in the room who are Miss Faapepe and Miss Khushi. We have a lot of fun experiences that we are happy to introduce to the children. Please come and say hello and if you have any concerns or questions, we are happy to help.

For the first month we will be focusing on the children being settled into the room, and getting to know each child and their family. We have several children moving up from the Nursery, so it will be a bit unsettling to start with, but once the children are settled we can start with our fun-filled year.

We are looking forward to the adventures that this year will bring us.

Miss Cariad, Miss Faapepe and Miss Khushi

Kindergarten 3

As a teacher, I know and believe that the children of the world are the most important people, especially for our future and the future of the Earth.

I believe in all children and I have high expectations of them alongside a fun, engaging, and confidence-building learning environment.

Children learn through play; when they are having fun, when they are engaged and when they feel supported, safe and happy.

  • A Sun Safe Hat
  • Shoes and socks
  • 2 sheets/blankets
  • Spare clothes

I would like you to please encourage your child to not bring toys from home. Also drink bottles and lunch boxes are not required as 3 meals are served and water stations are available.

Thank you for your cooperation.
