January Newsletter

Welcome to all our families for 2022. 

I would like to thank our families for their on going support through the COVID-19 pandemic and for following our procedures when it comes to keeping everyone safe. As people in our community continue to be subject to contracting the COVID-19 virus, we are continuing to be proactive in our approach to minimising the effect it has on Doolandella Early Learning. 

For your safety, the safety of our children and staff, please ensure the following

1. Before entering use the hand sanitize station at the front door before touching the keypad 
2. Wear a face mask at all times (No mask - No Entry)
3. One parent to collect and drop off
4. Social distance and remain at our service for as little time as possible

Room changes will take effect from the 24th January. If your child is moving to a new room, you will receive an email in the coming days outlining the change and the educators who will be in the room. Your child will have time to transition in the new room before moving permanently on the 24th January. You may see some change of educators in your child's current class as these educators have moved to their new classrooms to get things prepared for our children's learning journey this year.

Children transitioning to Prep

The start date of the school year has changed by two weeks, from 24 January to 7 February 2022 and will be open to vulnerable children and the children of essential workers. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide care to Kindergarten families after Friday 21st January 2022. 

Kindergarten Acknowledgement Forms

The Kindergarten Program starts on the 24th January 2022. You would have received an email with a link if your child is eligible to participate in the program. If you haven't already done so please complete the form found in the link below as soon as possible and return with a copy of your child's Birth Certificate or Passport as proof of age. Evonne's Return

I will be finishing my Centre Manager duties in 4 weeks time as Evonne will be returning from maternity leave on the 14th February. I will return to my role as ECT in the Kindergarten 2 classroom. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our families for choosing Doolandella Early Learning Centre for your child's Education in 2021/2022 and I hope to have a continued relationship with you all this year.
