Welcome to another month of news from Doolandella ELC.
Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
The Department of Education Skills and Employment (DESE) advised on the 30th of June that CCS and Annual caps would be resetting on the 12th of July. Child Care Subsidy (CCS) rates are adjusted at the start of each financial year based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Annual Cap - Families earning more than $190,015 and under $354,305 will have a subsidy cap of $10,655 per year, per child. Families earning under $190,015 will not have their CCS capped. Allowable absences - have now been reset to 42 for the financial year as of the 12th July.
Families seeking additional days now that their CCS and Annual caps have been reset are encouraged to do so. We have availability in most rooms. Please contact the office for more information on available days.
Room Changes
Monday the 12th of July begins the room changes for some children who have reached appropriate age and development. We hope that your child has a smooth transition and enjoys their new educators and environment. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak with your child's room educators.
ECT - Kindergarten 1
It is unfortunate that Miss Frances is unable to continue her position as ECT with us, and her last day was Friday 9th July.
Miss Cariad has commenced her Bachelor of Early Childhood studies and will replace Frances from the 12th July. She will be joined by Miss Daniella our new ECT who will be working with Cariad Thursday's & Fridays in the room. Miss Daniella comes from a wealth of experience as a Primary Teacher and is looking forward to meeting the children and families. Please feel free to introduce yourself when you see her.
As Lead ECT, Renae will oversee the Kindergarten Curriculum in both classrooms and assist both Cariad & Daniella as needed. We are looking forward to a rewarding Term 3 with children and families of the Kindergarten 1 classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with Renae.

Visitor Sign in / Out
Visitors are required to sign in and out of the service using the QR code in the reception area. Please use your mobile phone to fill in all the required details.
Families DO NOT need to use the QR Code. Please continue to use the kiosks as per normal.
State of Origin - Dress Up Day
Wednesday is game three of State of Origin. Dress your child in their favourite team colour (Maroon or Blue) to support their team. We will be having some mini games on Wednesday at the centre and a staff tug of war - QLD Vs NSW. Get behind your team. Go Queensland!
