July Newsletter

Welcome to another month of news and to our families who have recently joined us at Doolandella ELC.

Show Bags

Show bags are on sale again this year. Order forms have been placed in your child's bag. Additional order forms are available in the office. Please return the forms with the money to the office by Friday 5th August.

Pyjama Day

We are celebrating Pyjama Day on Friday 22nd July. Pyjama Day is all about wearing your favourite pyjamas to work or school to help raise funds and awareness for children in foster care. With the money raised from National Pyjama Day, you'll be helping us offer learning skills to more than 1000 children, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships. Please help support the children in care by making a gold coin donation.

Recycling Station

Recycling is an important concept that teaches children to care for the environment. Encouraging children to recycle is a way of teaching them about sustainability and the importance of being sustainable shows them that the environment is important. Bring your plastic bottles and cans in from home and assist your child to recycle the items in the recycling station provided.

NAIDOC week

We recently celebrated NAIDOC to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is an opportunity for all children to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
