Happy New Year !

Happy new year ! Well 2019 has arrived and we are in the full swing of things already. Next week from Tuesday 29th January, the children will be moving into their new classrooms. Before they do this though, we will be bidding a very proud farewell  to our graduating class of 2018. We cannot believe that time has come for you all to attend Prep. What a journey we have all undertaken together. With the leaving of these children, leaves some of the families that have been at the centre for quite a number of years - we thank you all for your continuous support and hope that you will keep in touch and let us know how you are all doing. We especially would love to see some photos of the children heading off to prep in their school uniforms.

We have had a busy month staff wise here at Footprints Sunnybank. We have seen a number of educators take some time off and have a well earned break - one headed to USA whilst another went to China, even Elfie headed overseas too. One came back married and another ended up in hospital.

We welcomed Miss Aparna as our new ECT (Early Childhood Teacher). She is a qualified teacher and we are excited to have her on board leading our Kindergarten program this year. Please make sure you say hello and introduce yourself to her. She is looking forward to meeting everyone.

Miss Alison had a fall, which resulted in her breaking her hip and needing surgery. She has been doing really well. She misses everyone and cannot wait until she is allowed to come back and see us all. Get well soon Miss Alison, we miss you !

And now a very BIG congratulations goes to Miss Catherine, or should I say MRS Catherine - who got married whilst she was on holidays. We all wish her and her husband a lifetime of happiness filled with lots of love and laughter.

Check out our mini album of Elfie and his travels :-)

A quick reminder to ALL families to please sign your child IN and OUT each and every day. This information is sent to Centrelink each week and to have your fees reflect your correct usage, as well as for safety reasons - please sign your child in and out. Also if your child is not going to be in attendance for the day please email or call the centre to advise of absence as this helps us to plan our day and number ratios/staffing accordingly. Particularly if families are needing an emergency extra day. Thank you in advance for your co-operation with this.

A friendly reminder that the centre will be closed on Monday 28th January, 2019 for the Australia Day Public Holiday Observance.

Till next month,

With a smile :-)

Glenda
