FOOTPRINTS SUNNYBANK | February 2021 News

Hello and welcome all to another edition of our newsletter.

Welcome back to our newsletter for February. The months are going way too fast, can you believe month two of 2021 is almost done ?!

I would like to say a very big welcome to all our new families that have started over the last few weeks, and some more new families will be starting with us in the next few weeks. We just love seeing our Footprints Family growing, can you feel the love ? We certainly can.

FOOD, YUMMY FOOD.....

The start of this month saw us introducing Kids Gourmet Foods (KGF) menus. With this saw the introduction of us providing food for our Nursery children as well. We hope that this has made life a little easier for our Nursery parents. The children are really enjoying the new menu (and so are the Educators). A great variety of different foods are being offered and all of the children are experiencing many new flavours. With a six week rotation of the menu, one cant get bored with the meals and its a long wait between favourites when you declare one.

At the beginning of each week you will see the three menus (main, puree and alternative) posted on Educa for your perusal.

All menus can be found on the wall in the foyer near the gate leading to the classrooms.

Because we are growing ....

As our classes are getting fuller, we are going to be introducing some new educators to the centre. They will be starting over the course of the next few weeks. Miss Donna will be the first one to start with us, she begins on the 22nd of February and will take over from Miss Amandeep as the Lead Educator in the Nursery as Miss Amandeep moves over to an Inclusion Support role in the Kindergarten. We will share an introduction of Miss Donna and the other staff members on our Educa and Facebook pages once they begin. We hope you will help us welcome them and help make them feel a part of our Footprints Family.

Leaving children in the car ....

As we see in the news, sadly too often, things can go wrong when children are left in a car unsupervised. With this in mind, we respectfully ask all families to please not leave any children unsupervised in the car while doing drop off and pick ups. This is becoming a common theme and we have had several comments from families in regards to this matter. If you cannot take all children out of your car, please let a staff member know and we will be happy to help out with the supervision if needed. Thank you for your understanding with this request.

Zen Little Yogis....

The Kindergarten class have now started weekly Yoga classes with Miss Tam. These classes are provided by the centre as part of our Kindergarten program. Classes are held each Wednesday at 1:30pm during school terms. The Kindergarten children are loving these sessions.
