Something new is coming to Footprints !

We are excited to announce that we are teaming up with Kids Gourmet Meals to provide meals for the children of our centre.

Please click on the following link for information for parents in regards to KGF and what they do.

Information for Parents | Kids Gourmet Food

I will be sending home a form in regards to food and allergies for you to complete. This will assist me in the ordering of the food and to ensure all dietary and religious requirements are adhered to for your child when it comes to their food needs. These will be available in your family pockets next week, please fill out and return ASAP.

Each week on the Monday, I will upload the menu for the week on Educa so you will be able to see what meals will be provided for your child/ren that week. I have had a look over the menus and just typing this is making me hungry. I am looking forward to introducing this to the centre and hope you are just as excited as we are to have this happening.

We will also now be introducing food to the nursery as well. So all rooms will have food provided. I hope that this will help make life a little easier for our nursery families as well.

This new food system will begin on Monday 1st of February, 2021.

Please feel free to click on the link below to see some of their sample menus to get an idea of what kinds of food will be introduced to the centre.

COVID-19

Thank you to all families for your understanding and support as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation. Please remember that only one adult can enter to do the drop off/pick up and must wear a mask. We will always keep you posted with any information/updates that is applicable as it comes to hand.

Sunscreen renewal

Now that we are at the start of another year, now would be a great time to check in with your child's/children's educator to see if your child/ren need new sunscreen.

Packing of bags

Can we please ask that parents send several pairs of clothes in their child/ren's bags for the days that they are here. Sometimes accidents happen and children need to be changed accordingly, whether they are in the Nursery or Kindergarten, please could you ensure there is at least 3 sets of change of clothes in your child's bag, ready for those times, whenever they be that they may need them. This also reduces a call to you as we can sort the situation out here without having to ask you to bring clothes in as your child may not have any spare clothes to change into.

Arrival time at the centre !

It is with great respect that we ask all families to ensure their children are at the centre no later than 9:30am, and that if your child is going to be late or away to simply send an email through to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know. This not only helps us with the planning of our educators and classes for the day but is the time the educational part of your child's day begins.

We are struggling with having to contact families each day to see if their child or children are coming in. This takes educators away from the education and care of the children when they are trying to phone families to see if the child is coming in. It would be a great help if you can send an email and just let us know, we really would appreciate it.

This also gets you into the habit of doing this, as when they go to school it is a requirement for you to do this.

Please also remember to sign your child in and out each and every day, this is a legal requirement by Centrelink for your CCS records as well as a safety requirement.

As always if there is anything that we can help with, please do let us know, we are here to help.

Till next month,

With a smile :-)

Glenda
