Welcome everyone ....

Hello and welcome to another edition of our monthly newsletter. A special big welcome to all of the new families that have joined our Footprints Family over the past month. We are excited to have you all here and hope you all enjoy your days with us.

Class Daily Reflections now available via our Facebook page

Our class daily reflections, this is the daily information that the educators write up with the photos and share with you what their class did that day - this is now available via our centre Facebook page. We have made this possible at the request of families as not everyone can be here to see the information each and every day (you asked - we listened).

The other bonus of uploading these daily reflections to the Facebook page is that we can add more photos - you can have more opportunities to see what fun your child is having when here at Footprints. Only parents and legal guardians are approved to join these closed groups.

See the tutorial video provided here and on our Facebook page - for how to join your child's group and then be able to access your child's class daily reflection - any time, anywhere.

Cold Weather

Now that we are heading into the cooler months, could we please remember that we need to bring in warm clothes, if it gets too warm we can always assist your child to take their jumpers etc off.

With this please remember that spare clothes are important and to ensure that your child has a few sets of weather appropriate spare clothes in their bag, should they have an accident or come across some excess water. The centre does not hold spare clothes, so if your child does not have them educators will have to call you to either drop off some more clothes or pick up your child. So to avoid this please have spare clothes packed in your child's bag.

Late afternoon tea

For those families that like to bring a late afternoon snack for their child. Can you please place this into the baskets provided in each class' kitchen and/or fridge. Staff are not aware if you leave this in your child's bag and therefore will not know that your child has late afternoon tea.

Fees

A new financial year is nearly upon us and it is time to reflect on the fees. Enrolment agreement that is made by the families upon enrolment is to keep their fees one week ahead at all times. For some this has not been occurring, please endeavour to keep your fees one week ahead at all times to avoid suspension of care over non-payment. If you are struggling please see Glenda and she will be happy to make a payment plan with you.

Educational Focus for the month

Over the month of June each classroom will be focusing on some environmental and sustainability projects. We have posted a blog to explain what each class will be undertaking.

During this time we have placed our 'plant' at the front of the centre - this plant will detail to you all how the projects are going - as the projects grow, so too will our plant. Please keep an eye on it and see how the classes are doing with their projects.

Till next month, take care

With a smile :-)
