Footprints Sunnybank Reading Library

Take a book. Return a book. Donate a book.

The Family First Foundation encourages parents to have 'disruption-free time' of at least eight (8) minutes per day with each child.  There are many ways this can be achieved, e.g. eating a meal together, reading books together or having one on one discussions together.

Footprints Sunnybank is proud to introduce our own library to help encourage quality time between our parents and children.

Take a book. Return a book. Donate a bookTake a book to read at night with your child/ren and then return the book. To expand our library we are also looking for donations.

Did you know that reading exposes children to language/literacy and can increase a child's vocabulary. Children develop story telling skills as well as word recognition by listening and following along with the words as they are being read aloud.

This is just one way we would love to help the eight minutes of disruption free time for your child/ren happen, with the added benefit of developing and strengthening your child/ren's language and literacy skills. We hope you enjoy the opportunity to change over books and have fresh material to read with your child/ren regularly.

The library will be situated in the Nursery room and available from Thursday 24th of May, 2018.
