April News

Hello and Welcome to the latest edition of Jellybean News!

Hello!

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Jellybean News! We are pleased to announce it's business as usual here at Jellybeans and we can not wait for all of our families to resume care. Over the past few weeks, we have welcomed many of your smiling faces, which is great to see. Please remember to use the hand sanitizer located in the foyer on both arrival and departure, this will help us prevent germs being spread around.

In the event that your child is showing any symptoms of being unwell please ensure you keep them at home until they have recovered. If your child is unwell and absent please keep in mind that you need to let us know, so that we can keep track of illnesses plus inform other families.

When inside the Centre please be weary of Social Distancing Rules, for the present time I would like to remind you all about the importance of dropping and going plus limiting the extra family members coming and going from the service. Please refrain from bringing extra people to drop off or pick up, for the time being, one person should only be coming in or out of the Centre. Whilst I do understand this may be hard please remember it is only temporary.

Lastly, I would like to extend a warm thanks to all of our families and Educators for their ongoing understanding and support during these unfamiliar times. The Centre is what it is due to you guys and I can't thank you enough. Together we have joined forces to keep the Centre operational and the place it is today, so let's look forward to the coming weeks without COVID-19.

Thanks

Educator News!

Happy Birthday!

So this month we get to announce that Miss Stephanie and Miss Navneet are both expecting their own bundles of joy later this year! Please join me in congratulating these ladies and wishing them well with the safe arrival of their baby's.

Miss Margaret and Miss Carla both celebrated their Birthdays in April. We certainly hope that you both had a wonderful day given the current situation.

Miss Margaret has commenced her Long Service Leave, she will be away until July. We hope that the current restrictions get lifted soon so you can set off on your big adventure! It's so exciting when an Educator gets the opportunity to take Long Service Leave, it shows their many years of commitment to the Centre.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day

Unfortunately due to the social distancing rules surrounding COVID-19 we are unable to host our annual Mother's Day Morning Tea. However please be sure to watch out for our Mother's Day Rewards Pack! Every Mum will receive a complimentary ticket! The winner will be drawn on Friday! From everyone at Jellybeans, we would like to take the opportunity to say Happy Mother's Day to all of our Mums! We certainly hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Car Ramp Play!

Hello and welcome to another Toddler newsletter. We have enjoyed the time combining the two Toddler rooms and playing together as a group.

It's crazy to think that Easter has come and gone like that. We enjoyed doing various art and craft activities and making some yummy Easter biscuits for afternoon tea. We hope you all had a safe and enjoyable Easter and that the Easter bunny came and visited you all.

We recently received a new toy order for the Toddler room and the children have loved all the new toys. We received new puzzles, animals, balls which light up, and new outdoor equipment for the obstacle course and sandpit.

With the new outside equipment and the cooler weather, we have been taking advantage of it and staying outside to enjoy the nice warm sun before morning tea. We have also enjoyed having group time outside and changing up the children's surroundings when doing group time.

Until next time,

Miss Steph, Miss Ha, Miss Hayley, and Miss Shaileen

Multi-Cultural Food Set

Wow! What has COVID-19 done! No seriously what an amazing time we have had of late. Due to our friends being absent due to COVID-19 we have combined the Junior Kindy and Kindy Rooms. We have seen many new friendships form and existing one's blossom.

The children are all progressing well with their shape and colour recognition especially at Group and Transition Time. We have found that repetitive storytelling has further assisted with the children's language development. This is something we would encourage our families to try at home, the more you read the more the children will repeat.

Outside we have enjoyed the beautiful sun rays that has enabled us to have some extra time outside! We have enjoyed running after our peers, climbing over the forte, and digging in the sandpit.

From everyone in the combined rooms, we would like to say Happy Mother's Day to you all and we hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Miss Cristina and Miss Navneet

Over the past few weeks, we have seen many of our friends return, this has been amazing to watch especially the hugs and questions as to where have you been! We are eagerly awaiting the return of our friends that are still absent, hopefully over the coming week's life will return to normal.

To maintain as normal as possible we have continued with our daily writing exercises that have further enhanced our writing abilities. Miss Carla has some writing sheets outside the Pre-School Room for those of you that may want to continue with writing at home, please feel free to help yourselves to these sheets.

The outside play has been a real hit of late, especially when we get to choose where we want to be. The program has been designed for the children to be able to select if they want to be inside or outside during the day. The Senior Kindy children have really taken a liking to the Pre-school yard, more intense play.

Having the rooms combined has allowed new friendships to form and existing ones further develop. The children are also forming extra bonds with the different Educators across the week.

Miss Carla and Miss Pedeta have split their roles up across the week temporarily. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning Miss Carla is in the room and Miss Pedeta is in there for the remainder of the week. The children get to benefit from the different techniques these wonderful ladies have.

If you have any concerns please feel free to come and have a chat.

Miss Carla, Miss Alena, Mr David, Miss Julie, Miss Xinh and Miss Pedeta

Nursery News!

Hello, everyone!

Autumn is in the air and in our Nursery room! We are looking forward to the warm weather, sunny skies, and outdoor time!!

April is going to be another busy month for us in the Nursery room. First, this month, we sang happy birthday to Sienna, Lily, and Kelsey. We wish you a big happy and wonderful 1st birthday.

It has been a fun-filled busy month so far, even though some of the children were away due to the COVID 19 circumstances. The little children seemed to really enjoy the seasonal songs and fingerplays that we have been introducing. We are looking forward to some fun storytime activities.

Easter is our theme this month. We are doing arts and crafts activities to celebrate Easter day, and we also started to decorate our room with Easter-themed artwork, such as the Easter bunny and egg coloring, collages, and paintings. It would be seen all over our Nursery room.

It is also exciting to see some of our little friends taking their first steps. We keep encouraging this physical skill and we are a very caring and nurturing for the little children. We are doing this by holding their hands while they are practicing their walking as well as introducing them to the walkers to encourage the children to further develop their walking skills.

We would like to give a friendly reminder, please make sure you labeled your child's belongings. The weather is getting cooler so pack some long sleeve clothes for your child.

Thank you for your ongoing support and big hugs for your Nursery room team.

Miss Jasmine, Miss Ruby, and Miss Margaret
