December News

Welcome!

Firstly I would like to extend some warm wishes to you all as this is our final Newsletter for 2019! From everyone at Jellybeans we would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a bright and refreshing New Year! 2019 has brought some wonderful new memories for Jellybeans and we hope 2020 will be bigger and better. For those of you that are going away over the festive season, enjoy your time away but most importantly keep yourselves safe. Don't forget the Centre is closed for the Public Holidays - Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. On Christmas Eve we will be closing the Centre at 6pm.

As the festive season sees a decrease in enrollments with children either leaving for Prep or taking extended holidays our Educators will be taking some well deserved time off. We have tried to ensure we have the continuity of care that we pride ourselves on with only one Educator from each room being away at one particular time. The top end of the Centre will more than likely combine daily due to the number of children we have booked in. If you have any concerns please feel free to come and have a chat.

To the Educators that work with me on a daily basis, I would like to extend a huge thank you to you all for the wonderful support you offer on a daily basis. Jellybeans would not be the place it is without each and everyone of you! You all bring something unique to the Centre! Keep up the great work. Congratulations to the Pre-School Educators for the magnificent job you did with the Pre-School Graduation, without you guys this event would not be what it is. The feedback from the families ha been wonderful, a credit to you all!

To Miss Margaret words can not express the gratitude I have for you! Over the years you have been the rock that has assisted with the daily running of Jellybeans. Who knows what I will do when you decide to take the leap of faith and finally retire, I don't suppose you have a clone somewhere! Anyway thanks for being the wonderful person you are and keeping me grounded especially over the past few months!

So from me to you......Merry Christmas and Have a safe and wonderful New Year!

Cheers

Farewell Miss Lucia!

We will miss you!

It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Miss Lucia will finish up with Jellybeans this week. Miss Lucia has been with us since 2013 and has made a wonderful contribution to Jellybeans during her time with us. Although we are sad that she is leaving we hope that she enjoys spending time with her family especially her Grandchildren. We may be lucky enough to still see Miss Lucia around as she has opted to do some relief work when she is in Brisbane.

Nursery 2

Hello to all our Nursery 2 families. It is hard to believe that the end of the year is here.

We have all been very busy, curious and excited to meet our individual milestones. We have been achieving these by being involved in a variety of activities.

It is great to see the children's language skills rapidly developing. These skills are being achieved by listening to stories, repeating words after Educators and singing songs and interacting with peers.

In our room we having been working on transitioning to the Toddler rooms. This has included hand washing on own, self feeding and sitting at the table instead of highchairs. All our Nursery 2 children will be moving to Toddlers at the end of January. It is going to be sad to see them move but at the same time it is very rewarding knowing they are ready to face their next challenges.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our parents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Cheers

Miss Margaret and Miss Nittaya

Nursery 1

Hello everyone and welcome to our festive season issue of the Nursery One Newsletter!

This year has gone so fast, we can't believe it is already December. Time surely does fly!!

First of all, we would like to extend to a warm welcome to Angus and his family to our Nursery One room. We are thrilled to walk through this amazing and meaningful learning journey together.

A big Happy birthday to our one -year -old Kierra in December. We hope you all have fun and enjoy your special day!!

Lachlan started taking a few steps, Ava and Hunter always clap happily whenever we have a sing along, Harper and Evelyn love to dance and show their excitement at group time. Jenny and Sienna proudly showed their crawling skills and explored all around the room. Charlie was also happy to practice crawling by using his hands and knees.

Most of our older babies are displaying knowledge of routine and confidence with simple self-help skills such as holding their milk/water bottles, eating finger food by themselves and walking confidently to the bathroom without the educators help. We will also be encouraging the children to wash their own hands. Harlo and Harper were extremely good at washing their own hands and were ready to move to the Toddler room. Keep up the great work!!

Over the next few weeks we will concentrate on making choices through seasonal experiences by reading Christmas stories, singing songs and doing many kinds of the artwork. Our room will soon be decorated with lots of Christmas arts and crafts. If you have any ideas you would like to share with us, please do not hesitate to talk to Jasmine or Ruby.

Just a little reminder, lastly, please label all your child's belongings including milk bottles, formula containers, water bottles etc and pack some spare clothes for your child.

Nursery One room would like to wish all our parents and families to a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!!

Many thanks for your support and take care.

Miss Hayley and Miss Sein

Welcome to the last newsletter of 2019. It's crazy to think that as I write this there is only 8 days till Christmas and 14 days till 2020. I can't believe how fast this year has gone and how much the children have grown over the year.

Over the past month we have enjoyed getting into the Christmas mood with the various Christmas activities. From footprint painting, different collages, drawing Elfie, playdough play and Christmas flash cards. The children have enjoyed these different art activities. Another favourite thing for the children is the Christmas lights in the room. They love watching the lights flicker and change colours.

Baby Shark has been one of the children's favourite song to sing and dance to each day. Every day you will find use singing and dancing along to Baby Shark doing the actions to the song.

Babies play has become another favourite activity to do again. We had a baby care station set up and the children enjoyed looking after the babies by changing their nappies, giving them a bath, feeding them a bottle and putting them to sleep.

Miss Nav and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Miss Stephanie and Miss Nav

Welcome to the last Newsletter from Junior Kindy for 2019. We cannot believe where this year has gone, it flew past way too fast.

We have had a wonderful year taking care of your beautiful children and watching them grow and learn new things. We concentrated on learning our colours, shapes, counting and language skills and we are very impressed with how well your children picked up these so well.

The children have done a fantastic job taking care of our flowers and feeding the worms throughout the year. We will be planting some summer flowers after Christmas as our spring flowers are coming to an end.

We have been doing a lot of cooking activities which everyone has enjoyed especially the eating part. We have made pikelets, tea cake, chocolate crackles and fairy bread to name a few.

Our room is beginning to look quite festive with all the wonderful art work your children have been creating and are decorating our walls.

Some of your children will be moving to new rooms next year and we would like to wish them all the best and we know they are well prepared for the next stage in their lives.

Shaileen and myself would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe 2020.

Hi and welcome to the Kindy news for December.....first of all as the year is coming to an end Cristina and I would like to say a big thank you to all our families, it has been a pleasure to be part of your child's journey watching them grow and develop into the lovely children that they have become today.

We have had such a busy year in the Kindy room with the children learning their self help skills of toileting and placing their underwear back on after they have been to the toilet and the importance of hygiene skills after we have finished in the toilet and before/after eating of washing our hands and faces.

As we have also been busy learning our colours, numbers, letters and the days of the week at group time and enjoyed doing a variety of different art works using a wide range of mediums and materials which have decorated our room proudly as part of the themed units this year.

The children's favorite activity in the room has been dancing WOW haven't we done so much of that!

So much twisting, jumping, clapping and rocking that Cristina purchased a bubble and disco light machine, we have had so much fun dancing with these on. Our Halloween disco would have to be a highlight. However we now have some children requesting songs or CD's to dance to which is very cute.

Other popular activities the children enjoyed have been play dough, sand trays, water trough and the dolls on the mat.

We will definitely miss our Kindy children next year as they move into the Senior Kindy and Preschool rooms but feel confident that they have had a smooth transition over the past few months and will be resilient enough to cope with the change.

Until then Cristina and I hope that we can catch up with everyone at the Christmas party on Saturday afternoon at inflatable World.

If not to those going on early Christmas holidays we wish you a Merry Christmas and an enjoyable safe New Year.

Cheers

Pedeta & Cristina

Hello from Preschool 2

For the past few months Preschool 2 have been busy learning about magnets- push and pull.

They have been playing with magnetic letters, rods and magnetic wands also drawing with magnetic pens. The children are finding these experiences of cause and effect fascinating. Along with playful learning activities involving colour, shapes, alphabet and numbers.

The room rules are displayed all over the room on shape mobiles we have been discussing them everyday at group time and children have been very impressive with how they remember what is written on each one, all I need to do is say the shape and they tell me whats on it.

The children have been participating in different types of Christmas art and craft to help decorate our room.

The children have also showed us how great they are at tracing their names, so we have decided to have a change and trace numbers instead the children have enjoyed counting the numbers before having to trace them.

We only have a few more weeks left in the Senior Kindy/Pre-school-2 room as it is almost time to move across to the Pre-school-1 rooms. We are sad that the children are leaving our room but excited for them all to move onto their next developmental learning experience they will have a great time.

Christmas is here- Miss Xinh and I would like to Wish all of our families A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year please stay safe over the holiday time.

Bye for now Miss Julie and Miss Xinh
