Hello and welcome to our latest edition of Jellybean News! We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new families that have recently joined us, we certainly hope that you enjoy your time here with us at the Centre. I have a few house keeping things that need to be addressed.
If you change your Bank Account details or Credit Card information please ensure your details are updated here at the Centre. All accounts must be kept in advance at all times otherwise your account may be suspended.
If your child is showing any sign of being ill please keep them at home until they are well. Even though this should be practiced at all times, now with the change in season and Winter approaching fast it is vital that we all understand why this practice needs to be followed. If you are unsure of any exclusion period please refer to our Centre Policies and Procedure or the Staying Healthy in Childcare Manual.
Please refrain from allowing younger children from utilizing the Kiosks that are located in the foyer. Quiet often we are seeing school age children signing their siblings in and out. The Kisok are mounted on a bracket and when younger hands are pulling on them they become loose.
We have noticed a few families that are beginning to show a regular pattern of arriving after 6.15pm to collect their children. I would like to remind everyone that our Centre closes at 6.15pm, therefore you need to collect your child prior to 6.15pm. If you are running late please call the Centre before 6.15pm and notify the Educators that you are running late, in this event you may need to make alternative arrangements for someone else to collect your child.
If you have any unsold chocolates or outstanding money please ensure it is brought back over the coming days. We need to finalise the outstanding account with Cadbury. We do still have some chocolates available in the foyer if you are keen to purchase a few. A huge thank you to those families that have supported our Chocolate Fundraiser.
Miss Hayley is in the process of organising a Mother's Night here at the Centre. This night is designed for our mum's to come along and mingle with other Centre mum's and have the opportunity to browse various stalls. Friends and family are more than welcome to attend. Tickets are $10 per head and if you bring a friend you will receive a complementary ticket into our mystery draw that is designed just for those that bring a friend. On the night there will be various raffles, a number board where you could win a minimum of $100 just by purchasing the winning number, plus many other exiting things. We are still on the lookout for anyone that is keen to have a stall or donate towards our raffle.
On Thursday we celebrated Harmony Day across the Centre. Each family was invited to dress up in their Traditional Costume and bring in a plate of food to share that represented their Cultural Backgrounds. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone that participated in this event.
Some of you may ask what is the reasoning behind Harmony Day......This day is intended to celebrate the cohesive and inclusive nature of Australia and promote a tolerant and culturally diverse society.
It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Miss Sharon has resigned from her position here at Jellybeans. Miss Sharon has shown such dedication to Jellybeans during her 11 years with us. We will certainly miss having her work with us. From everyone here we would like to wish Miss Sharon all the best for her future endeavors.
Miss Hayley will take over the role of Lead Educator in the Toddler 1 Room alongside Miss Sein. Miss Hayley is very familiar with the children as she has currently been replacing Miss Sharon every Tuesday. If you have any concerns please feel free to come and have a chat.
Have you linked up your Educa Account? If you have not received an invitation by email please let me know so I can link you up. This program is designed so that you can see what happens during your child's day plus their ongoing development. I must say the feedback we have received has been amazing since we commenced using Educa.
Please remember the Centre is closed on all Public Holidays. Dates to keep in mind are:
19th April - Good Friday
22nd April - Easter Monday
25th April - Anzac Day
