Wow! Who can believe that December the festive season is just a few weeks away and we will all be celebrating the festivities of Christmas. As I sit here writing this newsletter I'm questioning where 2018 has gone! I feel as though some of the year has past in the blink of an eye.
It feels like just yesterday that my Harry had his final day here at Jellybeans before setting off into the big wide world of Prep, and now his first year of schooling is coming to an end. I know this is a feeling that quiet of you have experienced over the years. Our babies are growing up way to fast.
Some of you have had three or four children pass through our doorway since we opened 11 years ago. For you guys this year marks the end of an era with us your Jellybean Family, however as one door closes another special door opens. Your Jellybean memories will last forever.
As you are all aware the Centre now has an access keypad that is used to unlock the main door. This code was emailed to the Centre families, if you have not received this code please see Cindy. This code is not to be given to anyone that is not listed as a nominated pick up person on your child's account. In the event that a non listed person is collecting your child they will need to knock on the door and an Educator will let them in. Please do not give this code out as this disputes the purpose of installing the keypad in the first place. Lastly please refrain from allowing your children to play with the keypad and exit button, these are not toys.
If your contact details, phone number or email address have changed please let me know so that your details can be updated in the computer system. A lot of our correspondence is emailed out so we need to ensure that we have your correct email address on record.
In the event that you may want an extra day next year please let me know. I am in the process of finalizing room numbers for 2019 and we have a few extra spots available in a couple of our rooms.
Our Pre-school Graduation will be held on the 14th of December. The evening will commence at 6.30pm, with the children receiving a Graduation Certificate and performing some special songs for their loved ones. We will have a cake cutting ceremony and light refreshments after the ceremony. Please ensure that you bring your cameras as there will be plenty of photo opportunities. While we do understand that this is a major milestone for your family, due to the lack of space we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing siblings and extended family members. Graduation Photos will be available on the night to purchase, payment will be either cash or credit card.
Our annual Christmas Party will be held on Saturday the 15th December at Inflatable World at Darra. Invitations have now been handed out if you had not received yours please see your child's teacher. The night will run between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. BYO your own socks! Please let us know if your child is attending for catering purposes. On the night we will draw our monster raffle. Ticket have been placed in your child's pocket for you to purchase however there are more available in the foyer and we will have tickets available on the night. First Prize is a Gas Kettle BBQ with Pizza Oven Ring and Rotisserie.
This is a friendly reminder the Centre closes at 6.15pm. Over the last few weeks we have noticed a few families arriving after 6.15pm to collect their children, while we do understand unfortunate events do occur from time to time we have noticed a few particular patterns occurring with particular families. In the event that you are running late it is your responsibility to ring the Centre and inform the Educators that you are running late and what your approximate time of arrival will be. On arrival you will be required to complete a Late Pick Up Form and a late fee will be added to your account.
