August News

Welcome to our August Newsletter - Who is with me when we say that our renovations are nothing short of AMAZING!!!

Upcoming Events

 7 August     Cultural Performance

14 August     CENTRE CLOSED - Ekka Show Day

4 Sept          Early Childhood Educators' Day

Cultural Performance

As part of our Learning program we have a special visitor coming to visit our service on  the 7 August. The performance is suitable for all ages.

Our Multi-cultural Show visits a few countries of origin from some of our newer Australians, then returns to explore some indigenous culture and to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The children will create their own Dreamtime Dot painting throughout the show to keep at the centre. For afternoon tea we will have scones with some Native Jams. Please ensure you make payment to the office - payment is due now.

Playground Revamp

As previously mentioned in an email to all families -We have been issued with our Waiver to commence our Playground revamp. The waiver is put in place to ensure all safety measures are met during the scope of the work and that risk assessments are also in place. All of this has now been approved.

The playground work commenced this week - Wednesday 31 July. Depending on weather this should be completed by Early September.

From Wednesday 31 July - until notified there will be no outside play during mixed age groups -

6:15am - 9:30am and then again from 3:30pm - 6:15pm.

As our playground space is being reduced there will be scheduled play times for each room when going outside. During this time an additional staff member will be in the playground from 9:30am - 11am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm.

No noisy work will take place during our rest time periods.

Staff will undertake training in relation to the new procedures in place. If you do have any questions please reply to this email or come and see me.

I will not be making service visits to our other Kidz Magic Centres during this time, to allow me to be present at our Heathwood Service and I will also be conducting regular site walks of the construction area to ensure safety measures are being met.

Exciting times ahead.

Renovations that have been completed

What a few months we have had with our current renovations. I would like to thank you all for the support you have shown during this amazing transformation.

I am very excited to share with you all the Playground Reveal - this will be breathtaking and I am sure the children will just LOVE IT!!!

Early Childhood Educators' Day

Early Childhood Educators' Day recognises and celebrates the work of Australia's educators in early learning services for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care. It's a chance to say thank you to Australia's early childhood educators on a very personal level by service operators, families and their children, as well as collectively at the national level.

This year Early Childhood Educators' Day will take place on Wednesday 4th September

Thankyou Tammy & Kidz Magic Team
