On Friday the 24 January we will be celebrating Australia Day as part of our Learning Program. Throughout the week the children and Educators will be exploring Australian culture, history and experiences.

What to bring: A plate of Australian Food to share for Afternoon Tea

Australia Day Experiences 

 The Educators will be reading stories and singing songs with the children to help them explore Australian history and traditions. 

Some of the children's favourite books to read during this time are:

  • Wombat Stew
  • Aboriginal Dreamtime Stories
  • Waltzing Matilda

Australia Day Lunch 

For lunch we will come together as a group and enjoy a BBQ. We will cook sausages on the BBQ  with salads also available. Please don't forget your child's hat, as we will be outdoors playing 'Aussie' games and singing songs around the BBQ as our lunch cooks.

 Supporting those in need...

As you are all aware of the catastrophic fires that have been happening around Australia. We thought this would be a great day to collect cash donations for the Koala's that have been injured in the Bush Fires. A bucket will be available at the administration desk and we ask if each family are in a position to make a cash donation. 

100% of donations will be donated to the Adelaide Koala Rescue group.
