Welcome

Welcome to our May newsletter. Who enjoyed the last few long weekends?

Our next public holiday won't be until August for the Brisbane Show day. This will be on Wednesday 10 August.

Trae - Trae Incursion

On Wednesday 29 June we will be having an Incursion.

Time: 10am

Trae Allen introduces children to his wonderful world of first nations' culture that he has discovered on his quest to learn all he can about his family and heritage. With his mother a proud Gomeroi woman and his father a Bunbjalung man, Trae was born in Sydney and spent his formative years growing up in both Moree and Sydney. We can't wait to welcome Trae to our service.

Quality Improvement

As part of our commitment to quality improvement we will be holding a parent meeting to discuss our current quality improvement plan. If this is something that you would like to attend and be a part of, please let me know via an email. We will be planning to meet one weekday around 10am, commencing this month. Our aim is to meet once a month for 1-2hours.

Alternatively, if your work roster does not allow you to attend, we welcome feedback, suggestions and ideas via email. Please send through your interest in attending or feedback to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Remember these items can be areas you love and don't want to see changed or perhaps you could suggest improvement in another area. Either way we would love your feedback.

 Policy Reminder

As we are entering the cooler months, we thought it would be a great opportunity to remind you about our Illness Policy.

Medication - if your child requires medication while at the service, it must accompany a pharmacy label. Pain relief is not administered unless your child develops a high temperature while at the service. We can then administer one dose while you are on your way to collect your child.

When children are sent home unwell, we will require a medical certificate on return. We do follow the  guidelines from the "5th Edition Staying Healthy Preventing Infectious Diseases in Early Childhood Education and Care Services" Australian Government National Health and Medical Research Council 2013 and any Public Health advise.

 Signing In/Out

It is a requirement that all children are signed in and out by an adult, over the age of 18 years. On drop off we do ask that you take your child to their room or outside play area.

If siblings are coming in with you, we ask that they stay with you during this busy period and do not run ahead.

Thank you Tammy
