Welcome to our November News. With a little over 5 weeks until Christmas, who can believe 2020 is nearly over?
Extensions
Our extensions are nearly complete and we will soon welcome 40 new children each day. To ensure our supervision policies are adhered to, we ask that if your child is not in the Lilly Pilly, Paperbark or Wattle room that you refrain from entering the new playground.
There is strict supervision plans and risk minimisation plans in place.
Room lists can be found in the administration area.
Room Changes
As previously mentioned there will be 2 room changes completed between now and end of January 2021. Unfortunately this is unavoidable. We have quite a few current families requiring extra days and this cannot be accommodated without making an entire service change.
The first change will occur once the extension is open and the second change will occur from 24 January (when school resumes) as our current Kindy children still require education and care up until the new school term.
Our Kindy programs run by school terms, so this will not affect the running of our Kindy programs.
*As our rooms are full - rooms request changes will not be able to be an option. We have looked at the best interest of each child, when planning our room changes.
Room Names
Our rooms will now be named after current streets in our Heathwood suburb. We believe this fits well with our service nature based themes and continues to represent Heathwood as a community.
The entry doors to each room will clearly state the name of that room.
Christmas Family Photo Booth
Our family Christmas Photo booth will still be available for our families. While we generally offer this at our Christmas Party, we have decided to still offer it to all our families.
When: Friday 27 November
Time: 4pm - 6pm
Your family is welcome to come along and have a photo taken in the Christmas Photo Booth. The images will be edited by the photographer and emailed to our families prior to Christmas.
Our gift to you, so be sure to save the date. The photo booth should only take a few minutes per family.
Christmas Week Activities
MONDAY 7 DEC
Aussie Christmas Beach Party - dress up in your beach gear and bring along your wet play attire. A day full of various water activities.
TUESDAY 8 DEC
Everything Reindeer - cooking and crafts. Come dressed as a Reindeer.
WEDNESDAY 9 DEC
Gift making day for loved ones
THURSDAY 10 DEC
Gingerbread making and Christmas movie - come dressed in your Christmas PJ's
FRIDAY 11 DEC
Christmas Disco - Come dressed in your Christmas outfit and bring a plate of food to share.
Holiday Requests
If your family will be taking holidays over Christmas/New Year please ensure you fill out the attached holiday form and hand it into the office. 2 weeks notice is required to apply for holidays.
Please note if our numbers reduce with families taking holidays, our rooms will combine. Our Educators have also applied for leave to spend time with their family and loved ones this Christmas. There will be notices displayed to advise what Educators are working in place of other Educators on leave.
Current ratios and regulations will be adhered to at all times.
