February Newsletter

Welcome to our February newsletter. Can you believe that the Easter eggs are already at Woolworths? Soon we will be planning our Easter bonnet parade. A special welcome to all the families who have started at Little Darlings. We extend a very warm welcome to you. Please make sure you accept the link sent from Educa, and you will be updated daily on your child's day as well as see important posts sent from the office. If you do not receive this email from educa, please see the office, as there may be a problem with the email address. We also send statements out every Monday to email addresses, so please let the office know if you do not receive your statement. It is essential that you look at the page titled 'account transactions.' This will inform you of your debit for the week and the date it will be deducted.

Please also a reminder to all parents, to sign your child in every day on the iPad in the foyer EVERY MORNING and out EVERY AFTERNOON. This is a regulation from the government, so please ensure that you have done this. Everyone will have their own login from your own mobile number, so please see the office if yours does not work or you have forgotten the pin number. Both parents are to use their own phone number.

Please also remember to bring a hat and a water bottle for your child daily, and please make sure you label everything.

February has been a very busy month with many exciting activities. The children have loved being involved in cooking activities with our chef Motoki. The Preschool children enjoyed making vegemite and cheese scrolls, while the senior kindy enjoyed making carrot muffins. Tomorrow is pancake day, and we are very keen for another great day of cooking with the children.

The rain has been wonderful and our vegetable garden is going great. The children love to help water the plants each morning, and they have especially loved picking our strawberries and enjoying how delicious they taste.

We also celebrated the Chinese New Year which brought plenty of good luck. Mymy beautifully decorated our centre with decorations she brought from overseas, and the children helped to make lanterns and also loved to dress up in some traditional costumes. Our Chef Motoki made beautiful spring rolls and Singapore noodles for the children.
