Welcome to the June edition of our newsletter. With restrictions starting to ease, we have welcomed all of our beautiful children back as many parents return to work. Even though the restrictions are easing, we are all still being very vigilant about our cleaning and sanitising. We would ask parents to continue to not send their children to our centre if they are unwell. If your child has been sent home as they are unwell, please ensure you either bring a medical certificate on their return or please keep them home until all of their symptoms have gone. These include runny noses, coughs, temperatures and rashes. By ensuring that these restrictions are followed, we can ensure the health of our educators as well as all the other children and families in the centre. And please, if you are sick, do not come and drop off your child. Please arrange for someone else to do this.

We are very excited that we are able to welcome back our extra-curricular activities. We are excited to still have Molly who comes on a Wednesday and does the Nabei indigenous games with our pre-schoolers, as well as Miss Demi who does our happy feet program, and also miss Tahni who does the Ginger Sport program.

It has definitely been getting colder over the last few days, so please ensure all children have jumpers and also please send along a small blanket for rest time. The Ekka winds have come early, but this has inspired many conversations as well exciting learning opportunities for the children about  weather.

We have been lucky enough to have been given some GIANT furniture boxes. The children have been very excited making cubbie houses and different play scenes. There are schools as well as homes and there was also a bus stop made with one of them. These boxes have inspired creativity and role playing. Over the next few days, we will also enjoy painting them together. We have uploaded many of these photos on Educa for everyone to see.

The children and staff have all been working very hard maintaining our vegetables and herbs in the garden. We were very excited to use a carrot in our lunch, and eagerly awaiting more to grow so we can harvest.

Please be aware that the free child care will finish on Sunday the 12th of July.

This means we will be charging the rolls the week ahead. So please be aware that the week of the 6th to the 10th of July will be when you will have your first payment deducted from your account.

I have made a table below for everyone to see the easiest way to read the statement which I will upload on educa.

From the 13th of July, our opening times will be 6:15am until 6:15pm.
