We would like to welcome many of our new children. We have had many of our little siblings start in the nursery and toddlers and it is so wonderful to have these families return and begin the journey again with us. It is so wonderful to see the siblings dressed in their school uniforms dropping off their brothers and sisters walking in the steps they one took.

Winter is definitely here with many colds and flus in the air and of course the dreaded covid lurking in the corner. We are reminding all families to please keep your child at home if they are unwell as this will illuminate germs spreading to other children, staff and their families. We also remind families to please sanitise your hands upon entry both in the morning and afternoon. , as well as ask parents to wear a mask if they too are presenting with any cold or flu symptoms.

The EKKA public holiday on Wednesday 10th August and the centre will be closed.

Have you noticed the new electronic white board in our Preschool room. The children and teachers have slowly been learning how to use it and explore the different functions. The favourite is definitely being able to draw on it.

Last month we celebrated National Pyjama day. It was so wonderful to see all the children and staff come in their favourite pyjamas and such a great cause raising awareness for children in foster care.

We also celebrated NAIDOC week were we learned about traditions, cultures and achievements of First Nations People. Phil came and read 2 stories with us and taught us to paint with Ochre.
