From The Office
I hope that you all had a safe and Happy Easter break. Many of you have been sending through photographs of your children's adventures for the staff in the rooms and these have been interesting topics of conversation for the children. It is a wonderful experience for them to be sharing their life events with others and learning about their peer's lifestyles as well.
Thank you to all who helped their children create bonnets for our Easter Bonnet parade. There were some wonderful creations and the children all had a lot of fun searching for eggs later in the afternoon.
We currently have our two charity boxes at the front counter in the foyer. Already so many of you have been bringing in items for Brisbane's homeless. Thank you! We would like to fill our boxes so we can hand them over the both Share the Dignity and Making a Difference staff. So please donate if you have not already. One item from every family would fill our boxes in no time at all.

Staffing
Currently Miss Gordana is on leave as she has had a hip replacement and is at home recovering. She should be returning to the centre in July.
Miss Ai came to visit us recently with her new baby girl Aira(pronounced Aila). Both Mum and baby are doing well.
From time to time you will note that some of our staff are absent due to Professional Development.
Professional Development is very important for staff to stay up to date with current child development information and also for allowing us to expand on our knowledge in different areas concerning curriculum.
Friendly Reminders
Opening and Closing the Doors
Please be mindful of our centre doors. Children can move very quickly and can run into or out of a room which takes them away from the supervision of centre staff. Please ensure you are latching the doors when you are entering and exiting rooms.
Breakfast
Our centre only serves breakfast to children before 7.30am. If your child is arriving after this time can you please ensure they have already had their breakfast?
Contacts
Please ensure that your contacts are up to date at all times. In the unlikely event of an emergency we need to be able to contact you quickly. It is very distressing when staff are calling your list of contacts and they are not available.
Donations
Donations are always appreciated. Thank you to all of those parents who share their resources with us.
