Jeans for Genes Day at Cannon Hill

We are getting involved and supporting The Children's Medical Research Institute on Friday 7th August .

A genetic disease is a serious condition caused, at least in part, by changes in our DNA. While often inherited, many happen 'out of the blue' due to chance occurrences. There are more than 6000 different genetic diseases. Most are poorly understood and have no specific treatments or cures.

1 in 20 kids face a birth defect or genetic disease, and 30% of children's hospital admissions are due to genetic disorders, so we know there is still much work to be done.

Kelly is the Center Manager and has 25 years experience in the Early Childhood field. Beginning as an Assistant and running an After School Care program, she progressed her way through the industry studying a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Community Services. Kelly has held such roles as Group Leader. Assistant Director and Director. She has been at our centre for the past 11 years and is dedicated to the care and education of not just children but families, staff and community.
