The younger children are learning to move around a bit more strengthening their core muscles and exploring their new environment.

The older children have been learning Name Recognition with where our bags go in the lockers. Along with self help skills including washing our own hands, putting our shoes and hats on

We are also learning to put our own sunscreen on with help from Miss Hannah and Miss Kayla.

Buds Room News

We would like to start by welcoming our new children Levi and Addisyn that moved up from the Nursery and joined us in the Buds Room, we have enjoyed getting to know their families.

In the past few months we have been busy little people learning all about colours, numbers, the alphabet and shapes, we are getting really good with our counting and colours.

We are also working on our self-help skills by putting on our shoes, making beds, washing our hands.

We have been busy making our very own "Very Hungry Caterpillar" group mat area, with all the children having input by making colourful Butterflys and Caterpillars. We are very excited about this as it helps us learn more about healthy eating, numbers and counting, and the life cycles of animals.

We are in the middle of making our belonging Tree for the room. The children are making little "ME's" they are very excited as they are decorating them on how they per sieve themselves.

Blossom and Poppies Room News

We've had a busy time here in the Poppies and Blossoms Room.  As a centre we've all participated in our own Mini Olympics during the Commonwealth Games, made some gifts to give our mum's on Mother's Day, had class photos, celebrated Mother's Day by having morning tea and doing beauty salons with our mum's, and we went on an excursion to the Yugumbir Under 8's Day.

We are all getting very good at naming the months of the year, the days of the week, the seasons, shapes and colours.  Everyone loves rapping the alphabet every morning and singing the letter sounds too.  We've been working on our problem solving, counting, building, fine motor and cognitive skills while enjoying our table based experiences.  We are becoming experts with our new learning resources.

It has been so much fun setting up our outdoor area and using it every day.We are currently painting the tables so that they all match and look nice in our own private, veranda area.  Everyone loves doing their own dishes, watering the plants, and being able to sit in the outdoors whenever we feel like it.
