Welcome to our Septembers Newsletter

 News from the office;

It's Spring time already! And the warmer weather has greeted us nice and early.

We hope all our Dads had a great Father's day.

As the warmer weather is here please pack extra clothing accordingly to the weather in your child's bag, Please ensure all items are labelled. Water Play will be getting introduced and if you don't wish for your child to participate in water play in the afternoons please let your room Lead Educator know.

The centre has been very busy creating gardens in our new planter boxes. A big thank you to Mr Brad for making them for us! The children have been very eager and excited to start exploring and discovering how gardening works and learning about sustainability! All rooms have been busy bee's planting beautiful Marigold flowers and yummy snow peas have been planted in our garden beds. The children will be planting herbs in our herb planter box soon, make sure you keep an eye out for it. The children are excited to grow fresh herbs for Miss Sandra to use in the kitchen for our meals. Everyone has been doing an amazing job at watering the plants everyday.

It's a very special time in our backyard right now as we have a Mummy bird sitting on her eggs in her nest, located in the trees down the back. The children go and say hello to her every morning, they are all very considerate as they go quietly near the tree! We can't wait to meet the babies.

The Blossoms room have shown great interest in being Doctor's and Nurses.  Miss Steph is an actual health nurse! She brought in her big box with all her medical instrument's, in the box was- Band aids, Bandages, thermometer, syringes, hand sanitizer, stethoscope, blood pressure, tongue sticks. One by one Miss Steph asked the children to come up and she would listen to their hearts and the children would have a turn at listening to their own heart beats. Miss Steph asked each child if they had any sores to put a band aid on for them. Miss Steph brought two of her babies down with her to help. Thank you to our parent helper who came in and got a pretend check up with Miss Steph, all the children thought this was funny and all giggled as she got her heart checked. After this the children got to role play with the medical instruments. Thank you Miss Steph this was a great experience.
