Welcome to our last newsletter for 2021.

The biggest thank you goes out to our Kidz Magic Capestone community for all your love, kindness and support over this crazy year.

We are very much looking forward to the fresh new start with the upcoming year ahead and wish you all a wonderful year ahead also.

Terminations:

Just a reminder that we require 2 x weeks written notice (end of care form) to finish up care with us.

If you are heading off to school and haven't yet done so please contact us immediately to arrange this.

Attending on your last official day is vital to ensure your child care subsidy is applied to your account and to avoid full fees being charged.

New enrolments:

We are almost at capacity for 2022 with our enrolments. If you are thinking of adding any additional days or making any changes please contact us immediately to discuss so we can support with arranging this as soon as possible for you.

Transition Plays:

These have now commenced. If your little one is moving up a room in 2022 and are attending the service during the quiet Christmas period we are starting these gentle transition plays now. New room commencements will start early January with an official move date of the week beginning 24th January, 2022.

Classrooms allocations have now been officially confirmed for the year ahead as well as our team of early childhood educators.

Please see reception for our 2022 allocation list and to check your child's booking details are correct. If you have any questions please let us know.

New Families:

Between the months of December to March we will be welcoming our new families into the service. New children to care as well as transitioning children currently in care can present some challenges as we work to settle them, help new families adjust, create new relationships with our new allocated teams and support with transitions. We ask that you allow till around the end of February/March period as an adjustment period and chat with your child's educators regularly to check in on how they are doing. We aim to follow the child's lead and not rush things at this early stage so please be patient as we navigate these changes together.

Farewell as you head off to Prep:

Such an emotional time as we farewell our Kindergarten Graduating class of 2021. Reminder that our Graduation Ceremony is on the 13th January. Please remember to RSVP.

Many of the children in this group have been part of our original enrolled children when we opened 3 years ago. It's been a beautiful journey watching them grow and learn and getting to know all the families.

We wish you all the very best of luck for your Prep year and beyond.

Thank you for choosing Kidz Magic to support your early start education.

Thank you very much,

Hayley and the Kidz Magic Team.

Hello and welcome to the last sustainability article for 2021.

This year we have focused a lot on edible gardens and growing plants that we can use. We now have a full herb garden that we utilise regularly and we have successfully grown eggplants, passion fruit, peas, beans, carrots, shallots, capsicum, potato, strawberries, tomato, cabbage, lettuce, Brussel sprouts and edible flowers. The children have really enjoyed caring for the garden and seeing what grows.

We have also learnt a lot about bees and the other creatures that visit our garden. In addition to encourage native bees and other insects to visit our garden we planted many native plants . Our gardens have really flourished this year and we can't wait to see what we add next year.

Miss Laura Chapman

Welcome to December in Nursery 1.

What a busy month we have had, our children have been such enthusiastic little learners and it is
great to see how they have responded to our learning experiences throughout the year. Some of our
children communicate so well verbally and others non- verbally and their input of discovering
something new just amazes me, we have continued with our colours over the November period but
also incorporated looking at different objects and identifying our colours.

All our children have participated with enthusiasm and showed a great interest in all aspects of their
learning, we can really and truly say our little babies are ready to move onto a new stage of
development in the toddler room next year. We as educators a very proud of our little babies and
what they have achieved and whom they have become. Each child has their own unique personality
and throughout our day it echoes with laughter, we are surely going to miss each and every one of
them next year.

The end of year has arrived, and I think all our parents are glad the first stage of kindy is behind
them looking forward to the next stage (Toddler). We wish all our babies the very best as they move
on and make new discoveries, we would also like to thank all our parents for their wonderful
support throughout the year without your support we wouldn't be able to do and achieve the best
for our children.

We wish your all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, may you all be blessed in this joy able
festive season, and please be safe in traveling or at home.

Hi everyone and welcome to Pre Kindergarten last newsletter of 2021.

What a year! We've had lockdowns, restrictions and masks, but my gosh we've had a lot of fun and learning here. We've worked our way through pre writing shapes and learning about the whole alphabet, including how each letter is made up and phonics.

The children have even started to write their own letters and resource their own learning around this. Miss Tabi and Miss Dani have supported this and have created activities and learning goals around this. A big thank you to you both!

The children learned about emotions and turn taking, yoga and dance, art and environments. The children's their imagination soar with dragons, elves and fairies with an added introduction to more loose parts and items for open ended play to spark creativity in areas other than art. Also a big thank you to Miss Dishu and Miss Charmaine for their help this year within our room.

Thank you,
Miss Amy, Miss Dani, Miss Tabi, Miss Charmaine and Miss Dishu.

Wow! What a month! December has been busy and so much fun!

We began our month working together getting festive to put up our classroom Christmas tree. First a small group worked together to assemble the tree using their problem solving skills. Each child was given the task of choosing their favourite decoration and deciding where to hang it on the tree.

The children have enjoyed making gifts for their families using their artistic skills to cut, paint and create their individual work with love and care. We had discussions about what Christmas means to us and read some Christmas stories together at group times. We learnt how to make a variety of Christmas crafts and also worked together to make some Christmas playdough following a recipe online.

Each child had a turn of identifying the number and amount of measurements of ingredients needed then taking turns we mixed up the dough. We used play dough mats to guide us to make various shapes and pictures relating to Christmas. We also continued to work on early writing skills with left to right scanning tasks, following wiggly lines to copy and trace handwriting trails.

This month we also had fun with African drumming, our Christmas party and a cheeky visit from elf on the shelf! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!

Miss Narelle, Miss Tahlia, Miss Ailish and Miss Ness

 Wunya Families,

Welcome to our last story of the year 2021.

This month we mainly focus on repeating all the literacy and numeracy that we've done starting the early year.

Find the words start with each letter from Aa to Zz including the writing practice, counting from one(1) to one hundred(100) with the writing practice from one(1) to twenty(20) and also did some Christmas activities such as making Rudolf the Reindeer, Angel Christmas tree decoration, ginger bread house decoration and baked cookies.

We practiced our graduation song; "Two Little Words", "I am Australian" and "Count on Me" for a few months for the children's performance on their graduation date, the 13th of January 2022.

Time flies and it's time to wish all of our children and families a wonderful Christmas Day, Happy New Year and all the best for your future journey.

xx
