Wow – half way through the year already and gosh it's going so fast.
Winter has certainly arrived and we are seeing lots of cooler days creeping in.
Our early morning opening room is our Senior Toddler 1 classroom – first room to the left as you enter our main play space.
We ask that you please ensure there is a jumper, socks and long shirts/pants available in your child's bag each day in case they need a change of clothes and labelling everything with your child's name is super helpful to our team also.

We ask that all order forms be returned to reception as soon as possible to ensure you don't miss out.
30 June CCS balancing deadlines approach:
Two important deadlines fall at the end of this month for families, for the balancing of Child Care Subsidy (CCS). If families do not confirm incomes for 2018 - 2019 & 2019 - 2020 income years, you could risk losing your CCS.
Who needs to confirm their family income?
If you got Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for the 2018–19 or 2019–20 financial year, you must confirm your income. Most parents have already done this. If you haven't, do it now.
When you need to confirm income for 2018–19
If you got CCS for 2018–19, we asked you to confirm your income by 31 March 2021. If you still haven't confirmed your family income by 30 June 2021, you may need to pay back all the CCS you got for 2018–19. Your CCS will also cancel from 12 July 2021. You will need to make a new claim if you wish to get a reduced fee again.
When you need to confirm income for 2019–20
If you got CCS for 2019–20, you need to confirm your family income by 30 June 2021. If you don't, your CCS will reduce to 0%. This means you'll need to pay full fees when you access child care. If you confirm your income after 30 June 2020, we can start your CCS again. But if there's a gap between your CCS stopping and you confirming your income, you'll miss out on CCS for that time.
How you confirm your income
Lodge your tax return with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) tell Centrelink you don't need to lodge a tax return and confirm your income online
If you have a partner, they'll need to do this too. If you separated during the year, you will need your ex-partner's income. If you've lodged your tax return, the ATO will send Centrelink your income information. They usually get this within 28 days from when you get your Notice of Assessment.
If you or your partner don't need to lodge a tax return, you need to let Centrelink know. You must do this, even if you've told the ATO that you don't need to lodge. You can do this and confirm your income for the year using either your:
Centrelink online account through myGov
Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.

- 4 to 11 July 2021 - NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
- 7 July 2021 - Tanabata Day
Tanabata is a Japanese festival that is celebrated every year on July 7 (or August 7 in some places). When this time of year comes around, people write their wishes on strips of paper and hang them on bamboo trees, along with decorations.
- 28 July - Peru Independence Day
July 28th commemorates the liberation of Peru from Spain by José de San Martin, the most famous liberator of Latin America aside from the Liberator himself, Simón Bolívar. The following day, July 29th celebrates establishment of the Republic of Perú. Together these two days are called Las Fiestas Patrias and are by far the most important national holidays in Peru.

This month has been an exciting month for our sustainability journey as the first of our passionfruit have turned purple and we have had the addition of a worm garden.
Outside senior toddler 2 is a garden bed where we are growing lettuce, carrots and leeks.
In the center you will see a large bucket which is the feeding area for our lovely worms that live in the garden bed. These worms will eat our fruit scrapes and enrich the soil of the garden bed allowing our vegetables to grow.

Welcome to June in Nursery 1.
We are officially half way through the year, can you believe it!
This month we have said goodbye to Jack as he has moved up to Nursery 2.
This month we have noticed a huge amount of physical growth with the children, some have learnt to sit by themselves, eat solid food, to stand by themselves, even walk. And words, we are hearing so many words, and baby babble now. It can be such a meaningful interaction when educators and babies 'babble'. Acknowledging their voice, even if it isn't yet coherent words is vital to their self-esteem and development.
We have also noticed a new level of understanding and cognitive development with the babies as well, some of our older ones now help to put toys away, and a lot of them now understand instructions and what comes next in a routine.
I look forward to seeing everyone when I return from my holidays, I'm sure they will have grown so much in those 2 weeks.
Please remember to take sheets home at the end of your child's week and give them a wash, and remember to pack plenty of spare clothes as well as warm clothes now we are in the cooler months.

Welcome to our monthly newsletter for June 2021.
We would like to give a warm welcome to Jack who is joining into Nursery 2 this month. We are so happy that Jack is transition and settling very well with his new educators and play along with other peers as well. Well done Jack.
Another month passing by for this year and yet all our little ones has been achieved so much through their milestone's developments.
More of sensory skills, language skills, emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills and meeting their health enquires within their meals, bottles and water intake are taken very well. Sometimes they do solo play and group play where their found themselves on some stage. Otherwise they were all maintaining interact to each other and enjoyed each other play.
As the weather is getting cooler the children needed a jumper, few spares of warm clothes, socks or shoes and blanket with each named.
Once again if the child not feeling well during the weekend or feeling unwell, please informs the educators and seeking a medical advice to avoid more sickness.
With nappy rashes can cause by any reasons during their development. From diet changed, teething, sickness or develop any skin sensitive can occur at any time cause by washing powder, clothes materials or nappy itself. We are happy to help and maintain the nappy rashes by applying the nappy cream which provided by parents and frequently nappy change as we do change their nappy every two hours or when they needed to change as well.
Again, we are would like to thank you for all your support so far where between the educator and the parents and guardian are maintaining an open communication and work together to meet all our little friends needs and their developments.

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to our newsletter for June.
We've been doing a lot of rehashing what we've learned during Group Time in the first half of the year- colours, shapes, counting, phonics, letter recognition. The children can now recognise the first letter of their name, plus a few extra ones, can count to 20, know their colours and shapes!
Now it's time for us to look at a letter of the alphabet every week. This week is A. The most wonderful thing is that all the children are so very confident in coming up to the board and trying, even if it does seem a little daunting.
We've had plenty of messy sensory play as well, Miss Dani made cloud dough to squish with and Miss Tabi took the children outside to pick something from the garden to paint.
While the weather has been cold, we've had plenty of time to play outside in the winter sunshine, on the diggers, bikes and climbing equipment. We've also been taking care of our new gardens together while they are dormant, watering and patiently waiting for spring.

Our learning session has been running for six months by end of June which means it has been half year we've been together! What a milestone!
We would like to welcome Miss Sophie in our room as a permanent basis educator during morning time meanwhile Miss Maria does the kitchen job. Miss Maria will be remain be with us for the afternoon class session. Welcome Miss Sophie!!
This month we focused on the letter R and M including the writing practice, all letter recognition through the jolly phonics and counting from zero to thirty through the music activities and transition activity such as the number die that the children have a turn to roll and do the counting based on the number which popped in after they rolled it.
We enriched the children's vocabulary by engaging them in discussion to find the words which start with the letter of the week and we did art and craft activities using the letter R and M as the source of creativity in which we created our Rocket name and we painted our own Mandala. Feel free to have a short tour in our room to see their lovely hand made craft and painting.
We also implemented a group project to create our huge rainbow using the collage paper to enhance the children fine motor skill, social skills and sense of belonging in the group. It was a great teamwork effort that the children put on their rainbow.
We introduced various cultures from around the world during the Multicultural show to end our event of the month and implement our greetings in Gubbi-Gubbi, Spanish, Bahasa and English in daily basis.
