Welcome to our latest edition of Kidz Magic Capestone News.
I would like to start off by sending a big thanks to our amazing team of early childhood educators for their dedication and hard work over the last few weeks with the Covid-19 second wave which has impacted us quite significantly. Your commitment to Kidz Magic Capestone, the children, families and one another doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do.
Dance Program:
If you haven't yet signed up to Monday's dance classes and have a little one over 2.5 years old it's not too late. Dance Along classes run each week on Monday's around 9:30am. Please e-mail reception to find out more.
Asthma Update & Medications:
If your little one has asthma and requires ongoing treatment at the service they will require an Asthma Action Plan. Please speak with your GP to obtain an Action Plan and then speak with reception to arrange the other necessary documentation to ensure we are able to fully support your little one.
All medications must be clearly labelled with your child's full details with a pharmacy label. Please see our team if you have any questions or queries surrounding these requirements.
Covid-19:
A big thank you to all our families for following our requested guidelines around keeping everyone as safe as possible. If you, your child or any family member living with you tests positive please e-mail reception as soon as possible so we can support with any fee assistance during your isolation period.

This month I would like to share some information on why sustainability is important to our center. I found the following article very informative: Sustainability in children's education and care by ACECQA. The link is included below and I have included some of the information I found interesting.
Through hands-on experiences children can explore and learn about their local contexts and environmental issues. They can develop the creativity and critical thinking skills necessary to make informed decisions for change, improving the quality of their lives, and those of future generations.Practicing sustainability empowers children to construct knowledge, explore values and develop an appreciation of the environment and its relationship to their worlds. This lays the foundations for an environmentally responsible adulthood.

Welcome to March in Nursery 1.
Hello to all our families in Nursery 1, our babies have all settled into their new environments and have built those strong connection with us as educators, so they feel safe and secure which brings them to exploring a lot more which they feel comfortable and starting to form strong friendships between one another.
It has been a joyful time over the last couple of weeks the children are all comfortable in their surroundings so has those little personalities started to appear which brings so much joy to watch each day. Some of our children have achieved milestones and this will continue as we still have many more to reach throughout the year.
This month we have been exploring our Indigenous culture, the children have had the opportunity to play with instruments, create their own artwork and we have gathered as many Australian animals as possible to look at and explore our cultural back to improve their knowledge.
All our children are already started to develop their language skills with babbling sounds or words to express their feelings and emotions and will continue in supporting their language skills through conversations and reading books.
We would like to thank all our parents for their support and if you have any suggestions on your child's development and learning and feel you can contribute, please let us know so we can achieve the best outcomes for our children.
As the weather has started to change can we please ask that our children have a jumper, socks, hat, and some spare clothing in their bags just in-case for those messy days of food and soiling.
Please could we ask our families to email Hayley a family photo so we can expand and create a family wall for our children we have currently only got two and would greatly appreciate your support.

Nursery 2 newsletter for March 2022
Wunya to our fabulous parents and guardians,
It's time for our newsletter for the month. Three months past and it's a lot development happening with our little friends.
From crawling, walking, using their spoon during their meals time, starting interact with other peers, showing their interest between indoor and outdoor activities, own name knowledges, following instructions and understanding and build a positive relationship with the educators.
Firstly, we would like to give a warm welcome to our new families, Sebastian and Sara who started on March in Nursery 2.
And we have Tvisha and Scotti who are having transition into Toddler room as well.
This month we have been productive with art and craft where our little friends learning and having a knowledge with assorted art and craft materials and how to use their own imagination to create their own art. From how to hold, pinch, grab between their fingers and putting the material on the paper was quite interest for them to have these experiences.
During transition between nappy change and before meals time they were learning how to maintain a clean hands by practicing washing their hands as well. And they are all love and enjoy it!
We do have a parent communications book available for you which locate on the bench next to our daily form for you to delivery have few messages to educators
We are continuing to meeting each child needs and develops their routines during the day and we are cannot thank you enough of your trust to us on this process. We are so happy when we see their smiles and watching them enjoy their play during the day as well.
Just a little reminder please to naming each your child belongings as well would be much appreciated.
When you are arriving in the morning, please write down your message about your child (ex. wake up time, last bottle and other messages if any available)
When you do have already make milk bottle, breast milk or cow's milk where need to place into the fridge please record it into the form which is located Infront of our fridge in the kitchen.

Hello and wanya families,
This month We worked on movement,fine motor, gross motor and midline crossing.We do Zumba sessions every wednesday at10.45 for 20 minutes.
We watched an ocean show, touched starfish, sea cucumbers and spikey preachers, played with ocean animals, made an under the water scene, made octopus and reading ocean books.
We have been learning colours and shapes in English and Persian, Pre writing shapes long stick and twig.Talking about emotions what makes us happy and sad and focussed on toileting

Kindergarten One Newsletter
Welcome to March in Kindergarten1! This month we acknowledged Ocean Week and focussed on learning about under Sea life and how we can all contribute to looking after our oceans using sustainable practises. It was interesting to learn the indigenous language to name some of the sea creatures and we enjoyed the Ocean Life incursion, sea creature imaginative play and ocean art. Some other art we explored was impressionist painter Monet. The children engaged in some process art by learning the skills of being an artist such as colour mixing, fading and smudging with one of our most important tools... fingers! We invite you to view our artworks in the classroom. The children did an amazing job!
Our focus letter sounds this term have been a/s/t/i/p/o/m where we listen to the sound these letters make then position our mouths, tongues and lips to produce the sounds. We have then begun to explore joining some sounds together to make constantant vowel, constantant (CVC) words using a fun song/chant with actions. Our numeracy focus on shapes and number has continued with lots of fun filled play based investigations using loose parts and hands on learning tasks. Representing a number and making shapes using number blocks and geoshapes during construction play has been very popular with the children engaging in thIs daily. As a group we count the number of children present each morning which has us counting to 20 and beyond.
March also saw us working on our scissor skills to cut and snip! The children had a go at cutting along straight lines then extending to curved lines. We focussed on how to hold the scissors with our fingers in the holes comfortably then pay attention to the guidelines on the paper all whilst attempting to move the paper with our helping hand as required.
St Patrick's Day was lots of fun with Miss Ailish teaching us about her Irish heritage and traditions of Ireland. We worked on our numeracy skills to count gold coins under the rainbow and also our receptive language skills to listen to Irish folk tales then engage in some green shamrock sensory art.
Holi celebrations saw us exploring all our senses with an explosion of colour where we learnt the meaning of Holi and explored the cultural traditions of the celebration using stories, dance, music and art to express our creativity. Happy Holi!
We enjoyed lots of learning opportunities on Harmony day. We read books about how we "all belong"and made our harmony hand cut outs to display in a circle of harmony and friendship. Although we are all different in appearance and cultural background, we are all equally special and we all belong in our classroom.

We have had a wonderful month exploring and celebrating many things! We were lucky enough to have a special visit from the QLD Police (Annalise's daddy, Shane). Thanks for sharing information about how the police keep us safe and showing us your super cool police car.
We also celebrated the Indian festival Holi, it was a fun afternoon filled with colour and food and music. We also celebrated St Patrick's Day all dressed in green! It's been a busy month filled with lots of learning opportunities and we can't wait to explore these topics throughout the year.
Just a reminder to please check the Educa message board regularly as this is our primary form of communication and please ensure the children's belongings are named clearly.
