Edens Crossing December 2021 Newsletter

As the year is quickly drawing to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a Merry Christmas, and thank you for all your support through the past 12 months. If you are going away for the holidays, we wish you safe and happy travels.

To those families who are moving on, we wish you all the best and trust that the transition to school from Preschool is a smooth one. Please feel welcome to send us a photo of your child in their school uniform and let us know how that first day was.

If any families are looking for additional days, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can assist you. Please keep in mind that we require 2 weeks written notice if your child is finishing up or you are changing your booked days.

Room transitions

Children are currently having visits and play dates to assist with their transition to the next age group, if appropriate, from 24th January. Rolls for the rooms will be put up from the beginning of January so please remember to check to see which room your child will be in from 24th January.

Non Feeding Food exposure

If children will mostly eat foods they are familiar with, we must provide as many opportunities as possible for them to get to know those foods we want them to eat, right?

There are a number of activities that can bring children closer to foods and which don't involve eating. These are great because children can enjoy the experience without feeling under pressure to eat. It's when they can really explore those foods!

In this article (split in parts 1 and 2), Fern Rodrigues talks about a few activities to engage children in food exploration away from the dining table. Open the link below to read the full article.
