August News - Kidz Magic Edens Crossing

Wow how this month has flown by. We would like to welcome all of our new Families and a few families that have returned to our centre after a little break. Our Kidz Magic family is growing and we couldn't be more excited. With our growing family comes updates resources for our centre as we are getting a few deliveries come our way with new resources for both our indoor and outdoor environments along with resources for all of the rooms. Our front Foyer and entrance to our Centre are also going through some decorative changes so keep an eye out for some exciting changes within our centre.

Occupancy

Congratulations on our Centre reaching 83% occupancy. This does mean we do have limited spacing in some of our rooms. Our Senior Kindy Room (3-5yrs) and Kindergarten Room (4-5yrs) are at full capacity Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so at this point in time we are taking waiting lists for those days. We are still taking enrolments form Mondays and Thursdays for those two rooms.

Book Week

Book Week was a fun filled week of storytelling, amazing adventures and some very creative conceptual play learning experiences in all of our rooms. All the children in each room we invited to bring story books from home and the class would engage in sensory or arts and craft activities along with roleplay and conceptual play learning activities. We had a Dress Up Day on Wednesday 24.08.22. We had princesses, pirates, fairies, Spiderman, Batman, The Gruffalo, Wonder Woman, Tigers, Bluey, Iran Man and many more amazing characters at our centre for the day but we can't forget the fan favourite Elsa. It was a day full of fun, learning and laughter as we had face paint, balloon parties, dance parties and some amazing sensory / arts and craft activities throughout the day.

Fee Increase

Our Centre has gone through it's first fee increase in over 2 years and as you know, increasing our fees is not something that we like to do, however due to ongoing rise in operating costs and everyday expenses, we have no choice but to raise our fees.

As of Monday 29th August 2022, our fees will be as follows …

0-3 = $113

3-5 = $108

Kindy age = $106

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and support. We believe that the strong relationships we share with you are an important aspect of our service and that this enables us to provide the best possible experiences for the children in our care. We absolutely value you and consider it an honour to have your family be part of our family and we will continue to meet and exceed your expectations in early learning.

Changing Weather

As the weather is beginning to change, we do ask that all parents are providing a range of clothes to suit all weather types. Can you please ensure you have at least 1 winter outfit and 1 summer outfit as it is beginning to be cold in the early morning and afternoons but is becoming quite warm during the day.

Water / Messy Play

With the weather becoming warmer in the day we are starting to have more water / Messy Play. Can we please ask all parent to provide a pair of swimmers and/or a pair of old clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We do offer all children smocks for messy play, however, sometimes the children's clothes still get messy. If individual rooms are planning for an extreme messy play experience they will place a message on Educa informing all parents of the room on what to provide for the experience.

Lost items

If you have seen / accidently taken home another child's belongings please return the items to the centre so we can return them to the correct child. I know it's hard sometimes if the belongings look identical to your child's but might just be a different size or brand. If this has happened, please contact the centre.

Just a reminder to all parents to ensure your child's belongings are labelled. Our staff work very hard to try and keep track of the children's clothes, water bottles, shoes etc , however, unfortunately if the child's belongings are not labelled this can make it very difficult which will result in lost items.
