Hi everyone and welcome to winter. Blossoms 1 children are enjoying outdoor play and winter sun.

We have been working on developing pre-writing skills, fine motor skills, letters in our names and our friend's names, enhancing social skills needed for cooperative play and self-help concepts are always the constant focus of this age group.

In June we celebrated National reconciliation Week. We read dream time stories and learnt about first Australians. Children really enjoyed the Dreamtime story" Mad Magpie" and during activity time children drew their interpretation of the story and learnt how to stop bullying behaviour.

We have a fantastic day planned for our children and families, with many activities in the morning from 9am-11am. If you cant make the morning, in the afternoon we are hosting the lions club for a sausage sizzle, all funds raised will go to their community projects. This is happening form 3.30pm-5pm. Also at this time we are hosting the Magic Glen so come down for some fun and a quick and easy dinner whilst supporting the work of the local Lions club.

We would love to welcome new children including Gurbaj, Inayat, Jai, Parasbir and Harjaap.  We are looking forward to getting to know you and your families better. In recent days we have been focusing on our own Independence, through water bottles, hats, shoes, toileting ect. We are further developing the children's knowledge with the embedding of sustainability within the daily routine tasks. We remind the children to wash their hands then turn off the taps, we seek the children to not waste food so serve themselves a smaller portion and ask for a second serve if still hungry. We remind them that our living plants also need drinks, so we often are outside tending to the garden.
