19 days till Christmas!!!
We are sooooo close to the silly season, and the end of 2019.
As our last newsletter for this year, there are a few important notices that I'd like to draw your attention to so please take a couple of minutes to read and familiarise yourself with the below info!
Hoping you have a lovely weekend, and stay safe in this heat!
All your 2020 re-enrolment forms have now been finalised, and the days you requested have been confirmed.
Transitions to rooms will take place on 27th January 2020. Please note, most of our 2019 Poppies don't finish until the week before school starts, therefore we are not able to do earlier transitions.
During the quiet holiday period however, children will take part in visiting their new rooms and spending time to know their new teachers and familiarise themselves with the room before the big move.
If you have any questions relating to this please don't hesitate to come see me.
Room notices and rolls will be on display in each room & foyer in the next couple of weeks.
If you are planning on taking some leave during the holiday period and have not indicated so on the 2020 booking form, or filled out a holiday form please let me know.
Informing us of any planned leave will assist us with rosters, and child to educator ratios.
Our end of year celebration is this Friday 13th December!
Poppies graduation party is at 2pm, followed by our centre Christmas party at 3pm.
As the Christmas party is outdoors, please ensure children have appropriate clothing and hats.
Please let the office know if you will be attending. We can't wait!
Our centre is open 52 weeks of the year, which means we will be open throughout the holidays.
The only days we are closed are Public Holidays.
25 December 2019 (Christmas Day) - Centre Closed
26 December 2019 (Boxing Day) - Centre Closed
1st January 2020 (New Years Day) - Centre Closed
PLEASE NOTE - The Palaszczuk Government has passed legislation to establish a part-day public holiday on Christmas Eve, starting this year. What this means for you, is that this year, the centre will be closing at 6PM (instead of 6.15pm) on Tuesday 24th December 2019. Please make relevant arrangements to ensure our educators are able to get home their families in time.
Vacation care for the 2019/2020 school holidays are filling fast.
We have a fun-tastic program running for all our school aged children, that will be up on display next week in the foyer.
If you require vacation care during the holidays please give me a call and we can discuss dates and availability.
If you couldn't tell, Summer is here!
Sun safety and appropriate clothing is very important in this heat.
Your child requires a sun safe hat for each day they attend the centre. Spare hats are not supplied as it is un-hygienic, therefore if your child does not have a hat, they will be asked to play on the veranda. Please also remember appropriate shoes, and sun safe clothing (no singlets or spaghetti straps).
