Welcome to the last month of 2018! December was a very busy time for us with lots of activities and preparation for our Kindergarten graduation. THEY DID IT! CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES IN THE CLASS OF 2018!

It was time, time to show off to their families how all that learning and growth has earned them the title of GRADUATE.

Leading up to this very important event saw the children practising a poem and a few graduation related songs which they will present to their families. The week of graduation we had full rehearsals; the procession, where they are going to sit, how to come up and receive their certificates and saying thank you. We explained what graduation is all about, acknowledging the kindergarten children for their resilience and hard work and how proud their families and teachers are.

Graduation certificates were printed. Now we had to find someone who can write each child's name beautifully and precise. We found that person to be one of our kindy friends, Percius dad Joseph. What a great job he did! Thank you, Joseph. We realize this took a lot of concentration getting each child's name perfect. But spelling your own child's name wrong? Now that was funny! Thank you nonetheless.

Each year the children and their families also enjoy finger food, a disco but the most important element on the table; the GRADUATION CAKE. One of our kindergarten mums spoiled us this year with so many delicious and impressive looking decorations. Wow! It looked amazing! Each graduate had their name printed in an edible crayon lining the side of the cake with added decorations on the top. Thank you to Yuelle's mum, Lenny for the 4 hours you have spent standing and preparing this very special cake.

And then, it was time. The room was filled to capacity. Every proud parent, family members and friends were there. The graduates sparkled with pride and confidence. Everything they have rehearsed and practised, they performed to perfection. What a fantastic evening! What an honourable occasion for not just our kindergarten children heading off to prep, but also for their parents and families.

Also, thank you to our educators for adding the magic ingredients to their learning through play, especially Miss Tertia, Miss Yu mei, Miss Cindy and Miss Amnpreet with so much dedication.

To our graduates, we wish them all the very best for the future.

Our Christmas Party

Saturday, the 1st of December, Piptree Sunnybank Hills held its annual Christmas party. It was lots of fun! There was plenty of food which the parents so kindly brought, and a wide range of activities. The children made their own stockings, had henna tattoos, decorated their own baubles, and experienced ocean life, with a marine biologist who answered all their questions. I would love to thank Jenny from Music Moo who put on a Christmas presentation for the children. Her energy really brought it to life. Finally, we ended the afternoon with a visit from a very special man. Santa Clause himself graced upon our coach, and gave each "good boy" and "good girl" a present. We'd like to thank all the parents who cooperated in bringing a book to be handed over to the children.

From our team to your family

For those who are taking a holiday break, have a great time with your families and for those who are not we are still here for you, except on public holiday.
