Welcome

It's hard to believe that we're past the half way point of the year already! Hopefully the second half will bring about happiness and joy to everyone in the Piptree community!

Including and especially all the new members of our community! We've recently had a large influx of new families and children, and I want to warmly welcome them all! May our time together be prosperous, happy, and filled with fun moments!

Returning to CCS

By now you all should have received the statement for the week of 13-19.07.2020 today, as an estimate to see how much will it cost you weekly. Week commencing 6/7/2020 your first payments will be processed to cover the week of the 13/7/2020.

If your account has been in credit, you will not have a payment come out 😊

Week commencing 13/7/2020 all accounts will be in advance. If direct debit bounces, your child will not be able to return until the debt is paid, without any exception.

Calendar of events

On Monday, the 13th of July, at 10am, we will be hosting "The Rainbow Serpent", an Aboriginal culture story which will be presented by Showtime Stars for all children over 3 years of age!

The Aboriginal People and their cultures have a long and storied history, and we're very proud to be able to share such wonderful Dreamtime stories with the children.

Dreamtime stories are the aboriginal understanding of the world, of its creation and such stories have been passed on through generations. The Aboriginal people believe the dreamtime stories to show the beginning of knowledge from which came the laws of existence.

We start at the beginning - the origins, and retrace a little aboriginal girl's history, passed down generations about her life and love of the land. She tells us all about the Dreamtime & what it means to her. With a specially made and unique backdrop, the children are able to find the Rainbow Serpent across it and create the rivers the mountains as the story unfolds.

We will talk about Totems, what they are and what they represent. The children will then help to make the family totems for the backdrop. We will do an acknowledgment of country and much more.

If you would like to hear more about Aboriginal cultural education, check out Aboriginal Advisor-Tjupurru-Adrian Fabila at www.Tjupurru.com!

On Friday the 17th of July, there is no need to get dressed, because it's Pyjama Day! Come in dressed up in your PJs and let's have some fun!

Pyjama Day is an event we host every year to support and show solidarity to children in foster care. We thank you for your support in this cause, which we care deeply about.

Keep smiling, Natasa
