Welcome note

Welcome to the first edition of the Spring news for this year. Nothing better than to announce a new baby in spring. We are very proud of our big brother Ethan who got a new baby sister Eva on the 4th of September. Congratulation to the Guo family, we cannot wait to meet your little bundle of joy!

 Time for gardening

Now that it's spring, it is a perfect time to get started with some gardening! Think back to your childhood, and memories of how excited you were when helping in the garden, finding and holding a lady bug or picking up a fresh sweet strawberry! Our childhood experiences influence our lives and let's start with teaching our young ones to experience more then interacting with digital technology.

Times have changed, but one thing certainly hasn't: children are full of curiosity, discovery, and wonder. It is up to us, as adults to give our children the best start in life, so that they can contribute and make the earth as good as it can be for the future generations. We need to nurture their curiosity and joy when make discoveries about the world. We can help them form attachments with nature, and to make healthy choices by engaging them in real life activities, such as gardening. It's good for them, it's good for you, and it's good for the planet! Everyone wins, when we care for our environment, and we pass on these values to our children.

Talk like a pirate Day

This Friday, the 18th of September is Talk Like a Pirate day! This is an annual internationally recognised day, which in Australia, is associated with a charity which supports children living with cancer. We're inviting all the children to not only talk like a pirate, but to dress like one too! That's right, this Friday will be dress up like a pirate day! We will                                                                          hunt for treasure and talk like pirates, and all for a great cause.
