Welcome to August,
Welcome to all our new families, we look forward to being a part of your child`s learning experiences.
As we are all in this together, we would like to express the importance of keeping your child home if unwell as the colder months are are here trying to minimise any cross infections within the centre. We as a team are all working towards making Piptree Tanah Merah a safe and hygienic centre. Please remember to sanitise when coming in and leaving the centre and to wash hands regularly.
If you or your family have been to any of the hotspots as per Department of health notifications, we ask you to please stay at home until tested and cleared Thank you
We have some new faces in the centre, Miss Rebecca who will be second educator in Sprouts room with Miss Leanne and Miss Suki - Miss Maryanne is now our schoolies educator as Miss Pali has reduced her working days. Due to educators who maybe on annual leave or sick you may see supporting educator who are here to support the children and educators.
Miss Lucy will be on holidays from the 24th August - 11th September - Miss Mani will be the educator in the room supporting Miss Heidi
Special Day reminders
Wednesday 26th Rainbow Day - come dressed in your rainbow colours
Friday 28th Superhero Dress up day - come dressed as your favourite super hero
Our cook has been teaching the children about different vegetables each week - please see the signs and the children will be looking for this vegetable to eat at mealtimes- we will be reviewing the menu this month to provide an updated menu with healthy eating options as per parent feedback, we also ask that families please provide a healthy option at breakfast time, Miss Jo is also starting a recycled food bin to feed her chooks who will then supply the centre with fresh eggs Thank you
As our focus this month is on recycling Miss Leanne with the help of the other educators and children are setting up areas for recycled materials, also if any families have any old pots / pans etc we would appreciate them for our yard.
We would like all who participated and donated to ours genes for Jeans day thank you
We have had some concerns regarding the speed of drivers coming in and leaving the centre, if you could please slow down as there are children around at all times, also parents please remember when leaving the centre to hold your child`s hand at all times leaving the centre.
Once again thank you to all the families, educators for all their support in the centre and especially to the children who are continuously learning and surprising us all with their perspective on life
