Immunisation Up Date

 Dear Families

At Underwood Early Learning Centre, we strive to provide the highest quality care to our families and the school community.

As part of our regular reviews, we have noticed that we do not have current notifications of your child's immunisation status. We require this notification to be compliant under the Education and Care Services National Regulation 88; 162 (f) and (g).

Where this information is not provided, the child will be considered as Non-immunised along with children who are not up to date with immunisations for their age.

Whilst we welcome non-immunised children in our service, in the event of an outbreak of a Vaccine Preventable disease, these children will be excluded for periods defined by National Health and Medical Research Council. Parents/Carers of non-immunised children will also be required to pay full fees with no CCB entitlements provided.

According to the Department of Health, Vaccine Preventable diseases are as follows:

diphtheria

tetanus

pertussis (whooping cough)

poliomyelitis (polio)

measles

mumps

rubella

haemophilus influenzae type b infections

hepatitis B

influenza

pneumococcal infections

All Health records can be accessed through MyGov accounts and under Medicare Services. You will receive one record per child. Please ensure you return this notification to us as soon as possible.
